So I want to talk about nutrition today and specifically how many calories you should be consuming per day if you're a male and female and what your goals are. I'm a certified nutritionist and personal trainer so you can trust what I'm saying. But so for women the average amount of calories we consume a day is about 2,000 calories. So if you want to stay and maintain the same weight you're at, you want to eat about 2,000. If you want to gain some muscle, you want to eat in a surplus, maybe 2200, 2500, or if you want to gain weight a little bit of a deficit, so maybe like 1750, 1800 calories. For men, it's usually about 2500 calories to 3000, it depends. So same thing if you want to gain muscle, you have to be eating more. If you want to lose a little body fat, you're going to be eating a little bit less. But yeah, just let me know what you guys think about that. you've ever heard that before and you know maybe what you think you consume on a daily basis.

So first of all I'm so happy that you are shedding some light on this topic because I feel like women especially at least around me get it twisted just because I like what social media tells them and stuff that they need to be eating like 1200 cal and that's not true I am currently getting certified for nutrition as well right now I am in a deficit so I'm standing around between 1850 to 1900 right now so not a huge deficit

I'm glad that was helpful and yeah I think once you get certified that you will you know you'll know the same stuff they'll teach you but yeah I just wanted to shed some light on that because there's definitely a lot of misinformation that goes around and you can ask any personal trainer nutritionist and they will tell you the same information.

This is so helpful. Thank you for sharing. I had heard about the calorie intake before, but I hadn't heard of going on a caloric surplus to gain muscle. I always hear people saying like, oh you need to consume more protein to gain muscle, but yeah, maybe more protein results in more calories, but nobody have put it in that way and I like that. Thank you.

Yeah I'm really interested to find out how many calories I should be eating a day to burn fat I have survived on 500 cal diet and also 1800 cal but yeah I just can't seem to find a happy medium

So it's gonna be what works for you the best ultimately so eating 500 calories a day is not What I would recommend doing You might lose a lot of weight, but it's very unhealthy way to do it So if you eat around 2000 calories a day, which is the average for most women I would say like 18 to 1900 would be a good calorie deficit because you can still eat but lose weight slowly over time

This is very helpful thank you for sharing it I think that I eat between 1800 and 2000 cal a day I don't I don't like record everything but I think that it's roughly around 1800 and 2000

You're welcome I hope that was helpful and you know it's OK if you don't track I don't track my stuff but if you're eating three meals a day and like you're getting a sufficient amount of food at each meal and like a couple snacks I'm sure you're eating 2000 cal or around that much you know 1800 to 2000

Feel like we should be focusing less on the calories are more like the food we actually consume because you can consume like your daily amount of calories I have like a bunch of unhealthy food stuff like it's just the balance between healthy and unhealthy
