So I want to talk for a minute about exercising with your menstrual cycle because I've seen a lot of things kind of trending about, you know, what you should be doing for each phase of your menstrual cycle regarding exercise and how you should be going about that. And I'm not going to get into depth about like all the phases and what you should be doing, but I do want to say do whatever works well for you. If it's the week before your period and you are feeling really lethargic, try and go for walks. Just try and get some movement and it's better than none. I personally, I've always lifted weights. I've never really changed my cycle regarding my menstrual cycle because I need to make progress in the gym. If you want to make progress, you have to stay consistent and you have to progressively overload. So if I take a break two weeks out of every month from lifting weights, I'm not going to make progress as much. So I usually just lift a little bit lighter. Or if I really not feeling it, my body needs a break, I will just take a break or do some yoga. So let me know what you guys usually do and what you've been hearing about exercising around menstrual cycle.

So usually mine comes at the same time every month give her take a day maybe but usually it's the same time so the day before I always do yoga because I find that it helps relieve any I don't know tension and muscle lakes but I have because after I had a kid like it is brutal my pain down there So I'll do yoga like the day before it comes and I usually find it helps and then I'll just go for a lot of walks and walk it off basically

I agree with you and I pretty much do the same thing. I haven't had a kid yet, but I definitely do get some brutal pain down there. I mean, I know as women it's just not a pleasant experience. So if I really like feel like I can't make it to the gym or lift weights, yoga always helps me. and then walking to a walk my dog and exercise definitely helps the pain.

Yeah I agree are used to always follow a strict workout routine even when I just have my period like I wouldn't skip any days and I didn't feel that different disco so you stupid and now when I'm older and I'm like eating according to my cycle I'm trying to do what's best for my body intuitively I deafly do agree that it's super important to listen to your body and do what makes you comfortable rather than trying to stick to a routine because it might just end up being Worse

I agree and I know for certain like I'm a certified personal trainer so you're really not supposed to do like high intensity exercise around the time of your period because it can make the cramps and stuff worse. So yeah just finding a good schedule and what works well for you and like month to month it might be different like one month you might be able to feel like you can keep up with your routine and then another month you might just need to you know take a break and that's?",

I feel like it definitely helps with cramps and just feeling a little better and less fatigued overall.

So exercising for me during the cycle is actually really important because it helps to reduce the inflammation and it just makes my overall mood and mental health better because of the endorphins that are released in the addition to the detox that you get in the lymphatic movement so yeah I would say exercise is probably even more important during your cycle you can adjust it obviously and modify that but I know adding movement is really crucial at least for me

So much agree with this and I'm a personal trainer and I have a few clients right now that are women and they really struggle with exercising on their periods and I'm trying to like work with them on showing them you know how they feel afterwards and like really trying to push them to like try it even if it's not like weightlifting but some form of exercise that'll like help them get you know it does really help with the cramps in the pain.

Yeah I definitely know when mine is coming and I try not to push too hard because I really do find that I injured myself I've hurt my back when I have had my period but yeah just knowing your body and trying to be gentle during that time of the month
