The older we get, the more we need our friends. And the harder it is to keep them and to make new ones. In my opinion, it's your friends who break your heart. And to note, our culture doesn't even have a proper script for ending friendships. Nothing to observe, no specific rituals, not even any paperwork.

I don't think you need anyone you should be self-sufficient and you need to know that who you rely on says more about you yes they let you down and that does hurt because you've used trust but you shouldn't let them affect you too much

I agree you shouldn't let them affect you too much, but it's only human nature to be hurt by it and kind of ruminate just for a short period. but obviously should not let it consume oneself.
