So I am very deep into anything that has to do with payments and financial technology and part of that is open banking, which was a result of the PSD2 directive coming out from the EU. A few years back, which basically said that all banks and financial institutions have to open up their APIs so as to allow for third party entities to connect to them and initiate either initiate payments if the customer so pleases. So if I'm banking with Bank A and I tell a company B that I want them to be able to make payments from my account and Bank A has to adhere to that. And basically, the second is being account information services, so PSPs and ASPs, which are basically just displaying information about my accounts. But this is now becoming, it's growing and growing, and it's becoming more and more publicly known and available. And I'm very curious because as we're seeing in the UK long, 7 million consumers and about 750k SMEs are now finally starting to see it for what it's worth and I personally think that eventually it's going to be a very mainstream way of accepting and making payments but how about you? How do you feel it's do you know what open banking is? Have you heard about it? Have you tried it? Have you used it? Or do you use it regularly? Do let me know I'll be very curious.

I've used open banking in some regard to basically connect all my financial accounts into one, you know, consolidate them and see where everything is and I I think it's been massively helpful in understanding banking as a consumer too.

That's brilliant and I just saw the other day that the statistics are now showing that 7 million consumers have now used open banking in some way or another. So the penetration rate, you know, it's still low but it's getting there and that's about 750k SMEs as well.

Yeah I think your ability as well if you have a Monzo Revolut pulling all the data from other banks makes it much more seamless in that sense and that's really helpful as well so I'm excited to learn more about it
