This is a bit of a random one. I have been thinking about this many times because I've played a lot of online poker. And obviously when it comes to randomization and so on, personally I don't know enough about programming according to know how to actually make sure something is 100% random or how that's even possible. But I'm very curious about if anybody else has any experience with it. Because honestly, it's difficult to not feel like sometimes things aren't stacked in your favor. Not that they should be stacked in your favor, but it sometimes doesn't feel entirely random when it comes to cards that you draw or let's say you're playing the roulette or slot machines or something like that online. when it's actually just code. So yeah, I'm curious to hear if anybody else has any experience with it, and or may perhaps know better than I do, how companies actually do this, if they do this, or if they actually do lean things in the house's favor.

Physical cards are the only real card game that one players we are fooling ourselves into believing that there's anything tactful tasteful advantageous to playing these games online so that's how I feel about the scams as I look at couple of cards that I pulled the other day from a real deck

I see if they were cards that you pulled the other day that you're looking at now, does that mean they were tarot cards? Or were they another type of card? Yeah, I think the big surge came during the lockdown when no one really could play physical card games. So people went online and I did the same and I enjoyed it and I even had a a phase where I mapped out about 3-400 hands on Excel just to test.

Yeah, I think annoyingly it evened out over time. In the beginning though it was very skewed so yeah you know it was more that it had periods. So what I think I found was that it seemed like there were periods to even out the odds rather than consistently similar. You know what I mean? Does that make any sense?

So for example, there might be a self adjusting mechanism where there's a long streak of solid cards, then they even that out and you're on your streak of just shit, which is very possible. And obviously 200 hands in the grand scheme of things is not a large sample size. So, you know, you need tens of thousands in order to make it realistic, but still, it was interesting.

I don't know this is the case but realistically I think the randomisation aspect of online casinos should be open source over to the regulators at least so they can prove anything that's why the Blockchain but I can prove that their systems are not heavily stacked against a player naturally 81 to 5% age is gonna be baked into all casino games but I'm with you if that isn't the case then sharps what can you do

Yeah, absolutely. But then again, I think that the one to five percent is baked in via the rules of the game and not the lack of randomization. So what I mean by that is essentially if you have an online roulette, you can't basically avoid landing on something at some, sometimes, or someone's chosen. It's just that by chance, especially adding in the zeros in there, you know, leans it towards the house. But yeah, that's cool.

I think you've also worked with casinos if I'm not mistaken in a digital space. Have you had any insights into this kind of thing?

Exactly that. And to someone who's played poker a lot online, this may not be the case, but I feel like I can say which ones are more heavily skewed to the house almost than otherwise. Where I feel that there are more often, even when you're playing against other players, where I feel there's more often a distortion of probability than otherwise. Yeah, but it's a dirty industry. Maybe we should start a casino.
