For me, it's how my clothes fit. that's how I know if I'm actually putting in the work or not.

I probably mainly look at how much stronger I've got in and my measurements I will check the scale once in a while to see how my weight fluctuated but I try to stay away from that

Are used to use an app called strong it's really good because it measures how heavy you lift and how many reps each workout and then you can compare it to the next one
