Stay at home mom one of my favorite times to get self-care in is actually not even during the kids naptime it's actually in the morning before they wake up it's hard to wake up in the morning sometimes because obviously my kids kind of wake up a little early but I found that if I wait till they go down for nap I'll be exhausted by that time and I don't want to take care of myself I don't want to do anything so I'm trying to set realistic expectations for this year and so I've been pushing myself to wake up before my kids to get a shower and get dressed for the day and honestly it's made my day so much better so do you guys Take your time during the kids not to do self-care before they wake up after they go to sleep for the night when do you guys take that time for self-care for yourself
I would definitely say nighttime is probably when I make the most time for myself just because my husband's home at that point and during the day the kids schedules are just so different with like when they chill out and everything like that
Yeah, I definitely relate to that. My kids used to be on a totally different schedule, and so it was hard to even find a minute to even just sit down, so I definitely get it.
I prefer self care at night time when the house is quiet and the kids are asleep because it's uninterrupted and I just truly have me time. I have that time to myself and it's so relaxing.
It's so hard to wake up in the mornings. Like honestly, if I can just overcome that, I feel like before the kids wake up would be perfect time to get ready.
I think I'd probably prefer self-care time in the mornings too. I don't really practice much self-care just because it's hard to fit it throughout my day. But yeah, I'd prefer it in the morning.
I do self care at night after the kids go to bed because I don't have enough energy in the morning to do it in the morning. So I just do it at night and it works.
