So I've heard a lot of moms talk about how they either felt like they lost their identity when they became a mom and then other moms will say that they found their identity and becoming a mom. So I'm just curious, what do you think? Do you think that you lost your identity when you became a mom or do you feel like you found your identity and being a mom? For me personally, I was 18 when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter and I was involved in a lot of horrible things I shouldn't have been involved in and so when I found out that I was going to be a mom, I mean everything changed for me and I was very scared at the time obviously, but once when I saw my daughter, I mean everything changed and I can confidently say that I found my identity and becoming a mom, but there are parts, certain parts, where I feel like I did lose myself and motherhood just kind of came over, you know, just a lot, you know? Like sometimes like you just feel like you can't get a break and it's overwhelming, but overall I definitely found myself when becoming a mom. So let me know what your thoughts are on this.

So personally I feel like both because I did find my identity in being a mom, but I lost my identity in being like my own individual self.

I feel like I've lost my identity in having a child in a sense because I feel like most of my days are literally just consistent with being a mom. Like I don't really have time for anything else. I'm trying to slowly like start doing things for myself, but it's still hard.

So I feel like at some point, us as moms do lose our identity because we're not the person we were prior to like motherhood. So it does affect us in some way.
