So one of my biggest struggles when going out in public is when the time comes for us to go home my kids just don't want to go home right like who would want to go home now like if you're a kid and you're at like kid heaven right like it why would you want to go home like the park I would if I was a kid I would wanna stay there too like I get it but one thing I found that always works because at the end of the time like if we have to go or if we're just I'm ready to go I'll tell them I'll say hey let's go in the car To spot me to the car and see who wins quote will run to the car and they just are so excited to do that and it honestly just makes their day and it makes my day so much easier so I don't have to like fight them to get them into the car because there's been days where I've literally like been so exhausted and I'm ready to go but we can't even go because I'm happy to Handle two toddlers that are screaming because I don't wanna go home but like it's more than ready to go home so I hope that helps somebody out there that's listening
Okay, your way is way more fun than mine. When my kids were smaller, I used to just give them a countdown like, hey you have 10 minutes, alright now 5, okay now 1, it's time to go. And it always worked, they never had a problem with it.
I feel like that sounds like a good idea for my anxiety with other cars coming with him do you know just drive me a little insane so I haven't gotten there yet I usually just pick them up and I'm like OK let's go
So we struggle with this. My kids are notorious to throw a fit and it makes it just not worth going. Or like obviously I'll still go but in my head I'm like I don't want to because you know inevitably it's going to be a problem.
That is such a good idea. I am definitely gonna use that next time I'm struggling to get my kids to go home. Um, because you're right, it is such a struggle sometimes to get them to want to leave a fun place and I don't blame them, but definitely gonna use this. Thanks for sharing.
