A few guys have caught the recent comments from Mark Cuban around the complete... Basically, if you were wrongful to strategy that Elon Musk is going for with regards to the blue tick mark, basically saying all the things that he could have done to really make that popular. Because it doesn't seem to have gone very well for Twitter in many ways, but this is just one of them. And I'm wondering what you put into the blue tick mark. It's interesting to read about the incentives that Mark Cuban has actually provided them with but I'd be keen to hear what you guys think and whether you think he's onto something and how they're doing now.
So I am going to read this article whenever I get back to the house here in about 3 to 4 minutes and then I will come in intelligently but I'm just listening to the chicken and the gist of it I didn't even know that Eli was doing that until it was referenced whenever Zuckerberg Berg started doing that and I was like OK so now you can pay for that subscription send it to me it just completely makes it like OK whatever as far as you know that
From a social perspective I think the bluetick has essentially become cheap and infect people can buy it just lose credibility in who has it so I know a few people have bought the bluetick and you just know they haven't and it was a big difference between building authority and buying authority babies time goes on they might just blend in people generally speaking can suss out who's answer a lot
Yeah, exactly that. I mean, I know so many that would die to have that just to try and show it off. And I'd almost imagine there to be a shift, right? Where if it's going to be like eight dollars a month or whatever he's charging for it, that instead of actually that going to people who should be having it, it's complete shift. Those who are famous, they won't care. People are going to know who they are anyway. But actually, we're just seeing a ton of lower level blue ticks and and that kind of thing, because people can now afford to pay it. is a really strange one.
Or I can see the social platforms going stepfather and for people with things using something like a goatee so then you have executive extended members and you like your verify bluetick is and then you've got your like gold or premium
Yeah, I've seen, see now we're getting into sort of the dirty territory where you're making people pay just because they can't and because they want to show the world that they can. So let's see what Mr. Musk has in store.
Well, I'm glad I can contribute in some way shape or form. The tic. Is that the cartoon? I feel like there was... Because I've grown up with most things being named in Norwegian, but I feel like there was a show called The Tic. But yeah, if I'm way off, do let me know. I mean, I'm curious now to what this show is.
Interesting so he went ahead and he was reaching less people and then he went ahead and paid for The subscription and then he still not reaching the people that he wants to be rich I do find that very interesting very interesting indeed But
Yeah, and I mean Mark Cuban has definitely become someone I really respect based on his merits and I genuinely really like to see his insights to things. So we'll see, we'll see. I mean, I guess a lot of people have said that Elon Musk might have done a lot of things right, but then a lot of times running companies is not really his forte. Getting companies there, but not necessarily strategizing.
