When you debate or have a discussion, what is your intent? Do you leave an open mind? Do you allow for people to change your mind?

I prefer to have a discussion and give out information that I have that may be helpful to the other person and just kind of help make a broader informative decision on things.

Along with that I am very open-minded and I do allow the opinions of others to mingle with my own and to better form a better opinion or thought.

I'm also a firm believer that the only stupid question is the question that goes unasked, if that makes any sense.

I think this really depends actually. In a discussion, yeah, you're looking to learn, you're looking for the right answer to come out. In a debate, I think it depends who your opposition is. If you know that your opposition is either wrong or bad faith, and you've got an audience, you're looking to win.

Okay, so I actually love this question because I ask myself this a lot like what I'm having debates or even after a debate or discussion because I I like the idea of like learning something new and being able to like get different point of views.

But I think it was Andrew that said he doesn't allow people to change his mind because it's seen as weak. I personally wouldn't say I would, I allow people to change my mind in a way of like persuasion.

But more so in a way of just seeing a different point of view of things if that makes sense. So like basically to answer your question I'm open minded about it. I'm not more so like I need to win this debate. I'm more so like I need to win this debate.

Hey fam, hey. My intent is to learn and to be the best I can be. So if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. If I'm right, I'm right. But as long as I become a good doer, at the end of the day, I feel good about myself.

Whenever it comes to a debate or having a conversation, I like to hear all sides and I like to, you know, just put everything on the table, you know, just hear what people think, what's going on in their minds, and then we can agree, disagree, we can have a sudden change or a week, you know, it really depends, but...

Nah, I never let people or allow people to change my mind. I never let that happen. That just makes me look weak, but nah, I never let that happen.

I understand your point of like looking weak, but I feel as though if you don't allow yourself to change your mind, how are you ever going to get closer to the answer?

But I'm more of a learner than a teacher. Honestly, I prefer with learning than teaching.

Yeah, exactly. So you're a learner which means that you can change your mind to adapt to new evidence. Which is kind of what you're saying right here, right?
