What are your thoughts on the new and developing AI technologies such as chat GPT? Because I know a lot of good things can come out of this, but also bad, and I'm curious your opinion.
For example, if you wanted it to build you the stereo app, you could say, okay, provide me with the HTML outline for the landing page, you know, of an app that has, you know, this, you know, the sidebar, top bar, you know, search bar.
Yeah, so now chat GPT has been tailored and tamed. You can't get it to answer your questions properly. I swear to God I've asked it to write me so many different things. None of them were fruitful except for one thing and that thing was not even...
Yeah, I agree. I don't know if you guys have played around with it and asked it to do, you know, quote-unquote nefarious things. Uh, yeah, it'll do some pretty crazy shit.
Provide me with all the necessary file names and ensure that all of these will work together to provide the app experience of my choice. Just an example, right? If you can do that with just...
Yeah, like GPT-3, it's really cool for a research tool because instead of having to go through Google and get all these links, that's really just the same regurgitating information. GPT-3 will literally structure an answer for you in whatever concise way.
It could even write code for you. Like if you were to write, write me a Python script that automates this test by defining these inputs and variables or whatever. It could literally write it for you. Like it might not be super good, but yo, this is just the beginning.
Yes, exactly. I have experimented with it as well. And the stuff it can do is incredible. There are some limitations now, but I think the developers will continue to perfect the AI.
So the release of chat gbt is bigger than the internet itself. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it because this is going to absolutely restructure the face of our reality and humanity as we know it. Take advantage now or get swept by the wave.
I completely agree and I've started using it almost daily and the amount of information you can pull from these websites quickly too is insane. It's much easier than looking things up.
Although I will admit, the AI sometimes has its faults, and I do recommend rechecking on the internet trying to find valid sources because the AI can't necessarily provide those.
Yeah, so for example, I said, write me a script that will automate uploading pictures from the DCIM folder to an SFTP server of my choice. It'll do it in Python.
Not only that, but then you can say, okay, now write me a bash file, right? Or, sorry, a bash file to automate the process of installing the right packages in Python and writing that script and running automatically in the back.
Yeah, so like learning how to talk to it is crucial, right? You can have it build your entire program's websites and part of the key is doing it bit by bit, right?
Come back and say, okay, now provide me with the CSS to style the HTML page so that it looks like this app. Okay, now provide me with the JavaScript to provide the functionality so that it works.
