Alright, what are your thoughts about elementary-aged kiddos having cell phones? When I was a kid, it was like unheard of of a kiddo and elementary having a cell phone, but I feel like now it's so much more common with how things are. I'm not saying there's a right or wrong answer. I'm just curious what you think. I think we'll probably take it year by year for our kid and maybe when he's like older elementary, if he's staying after school for anything, maybe just have a phone for texting us or calling us, but again I'm not really sure.

I think I got my first phone in the fourth or fifth grade. So that's more towards the end of elementary school. But I think now, like when my kids go into school, I think I would give them a phone. They have the options, excuse me, they have the options to where you can get phones where they can just call like mom or dad. So I think we'd opt for that one first. But I think what the way that things are, I feel like they definitely need some way to communicate with me or dad.

So when I was a kid, I don't think any of I didn't have a phone until I was in eighth or ninth grade and I don't think any of my friends had phones until we were like in sixth grade. But elementary school no one had a phone. Today's day and age, if I send my son to school, I would a hundred percent send him with a phone so that he could contact me at any time. But my caveat there is there it would not be a smartphone. I don't want him on social media or any apps or anything that young.

So when I was in elementary school I did have a cell phone but I wasn't really allowed to have certain apps I was just really used for the purpose of being able to contact my parents which I think if you are letting your kid have a phone to or like for the sole purpose of being able to get a hold of their parents and not to be on apps I think it's totally fine but I definitely don't think elementary age kids should be having any of the apps because they're so so toxic at that
