My son got his very own AAC device today and I am so thrilled he doesn't speak at all he's just about to be 3 1/2 he is autistic and he has been working on using this AAC device at his speech sessions for many months now we have been waiting several months to get a device for a self so he can use it at home and at school for better communication if you don't know an AAC device is basically like a small iPad but the sole purpose of it is communication or speaking so individual can you don't push the buttons and it will speak for them if they're unable to speak themselves so this is going to be totally life-changing for my son he is intelligent and understands language but he physically can't speak so He is now going to be able to share his thoughts so much more with us and I'm really excited for that
