So I saw this post in a Facebook mom group that I'm in and I thought it was really interesting. Long story short, basically the girl is 25, she has a baby, the baby's father has never been in the picture, he like was gone during the pregnancy, so she's been doing this solo. And now she's at a point where she's like feeling lonely and wants to meet someone, all that stuff. So basically she's asking in the group like, hey how do you get out there and meet people when you're so busy and you always have your child because she's a single mom. And and be like, how do you work around that? Like how do you justify spending money on a babysitter so that you can go out on a date? Or like how do you deal with, maybe the person wants to come back to the house and but you don't want them to meet your child yet and so on and so forth. So I thought this was really interesting. And so she specifically cited that she had gotten a quote from a 17 year old babysitter because she wanted to go out on a date with some person and she ended up not doing it because the teenager quoted her $30 an hour for a babysitter and she was like, I just cannot, you know, that's more than I make in my career. Like I just cannot justify spending this money to go out with someone. Like I should just stay home with my son. And in my perspective, I think that if a person really wants to spend time with you and they're sympathetic and understanding to your situation, you know, being a single mom that said person would cover the cost or at the very least help cover the cost of childcare when they're inviting you to go spend time with them. If they really want you to spend time with them, I just feel like that they would do this. And I'm not a single mom, but I'm really interested to know like, do people that ask you out on dates, if you are a single mom, Do they offer to help with this?
