so today my son was up before 7 and I was trying to get ready for work and to take him to daycare so it was like almost 7, 6.50 ish and I was like okay do you want to watch Mickey Mouse? and he's like yeah or you know he says hot dog for it but so I played that and I was like is it too early? should I just like let him or is it okay because he's only gonna watch it for like 15 minutes and he probably won't watch it for the rest of the day since he'll be at daycare how early is too early?
So I work in early childcare and I work with three--year-olds and kids three and up will get some screen time but like educational screen time during you know school we have a smart board in our classroom but ages two and years
I guess I was kind of referring to like time of day um just because I play it for him when I'm trying to get ready in the morning um if I'm trying to work or something
So I know some moms are going to have an opinion on this but normally both of our TVs are on because I just like having sound in the background when I'm doing stuff or just in the house in general. So we-
We always have a TV on and there's always a movie or a TV show playing the only thing we don't let her do she don't have an iPad of any kind of sort like she don't feel the iPad she just watches movies and TV
I think anytime is fine. I think it's really normal like once your kid wakes up to let them watch their show or something like that. Anytime my kid wakes up I usually let him watch his show so that I can actually get around.
I try to even with my daughter who's six, I try to keep screen time until after maybe 12. But typically if it is screen time in the morning, it's definitely something educational. I always save like the more fun stuff for later in the day.
