I have suffered from emotional abuse and narcissistic abuse until I was 28 years old and then literally had to escape my house.

My mom never beat me when I was little, my dad did. My mom was really passive and she wanted to make everything okay. My mom never whipped me, but my dad was to beat her. My mom was always really nice, actually. I've never really had issues with my mom like that. That's a good question.

I'm glad to hear that you're breaking that generational curse because it is really wrong so you don't beat your kids and I feel like did the discipline work probably but didn't have to be done in that way most likely not
