I am about three months away from giving birth and I'm wondering if I should start pumping before at like 37 or 38 weeks so I can collect colostrum did anyone do this

I did for a little bit yes just come and get my milk to start like stimulating and then I did save a little bit in a stash but like I wasn't too crazy and producing

I did not but I was leaking a lot and I should have just so that I could've had you know extra extra milk

My OB gave me the OK to start hand expressing and pumping him at 38 weeks but I will just go off of your doctors recommendation

Wow I didn't know that you guys can pump before you even give birth my milk didn't come in until like the day after I gave birth and it had to be like stimulated to come out

No it's not it's like it's colostrum first and then sometimes you can help induce labor I believe
