Yes, everything's a distraction. From when you're a baby you come out and all you want to see is this beautiful world and what you're in straight away a rattle shoved in your face, then you're shoved in front of a TV, sports and all this crap. You just want to figure out who you are.

You should ask yourself if it brings you purpose and if what you watch now you would remember in five or ten years Just remember a couple of years back people didn't own TV at all like a century ago, let's say
