Hey what's up this is Techie, happy Black History Month and this morning I want to talk about my particular career which is one of the most underrepresented career paths for African Americans in this country. Black people specifically only make up about 7.4 percent of the IT workforce. Black women make up 1.7 percent of that so the numbers are extremely disparaging and one of the number one factors when a lot of people were surveyed was they were unsure about you know where to begin which was about maybe about 55 percent. Some people lacked the financial resources which was about 51 percent and also the skill set which was heading at about 52 percent. Then the last one which was about 45 percent of the respondents said they lacked the connections needed to start a tech career. So if anybody's out there that wants to start an IT that wants to know the direction that they need to get into feel free to hit me up. I'm always open to helping anybody get into the right job role and start a career in IT. Happy Black History Month everybody.
