Hey what's up y'all this is Techie and happy first day of Black History Month and so my career profession is IT so I wanted to bring a couple of black technicians to the forefront for us to acknowledge. Today I want to talk about Melba Roy Mouton. You guys might be familiar with the movie Hidden Figures and of course Kaplan Johnson and a couple others in that movie. Well Melba Roy Mouton came right after those lovely ladies who actually set up the Apollo mission to be able to go to the moon and come back. This woman actually was the chief engineer at the Goudard Space Flight Center. I don't know if you guys have ever been there. It's an amazing place. She also helped produce the or the portable element timetable which allowed millions to see the satellite from Earth as it passed overhead. So she's done a lot of fantastic things. She received an Apollo achievement award and an exceptional performance award while at NASA. So I just want to give this lady her flowers. Sadly she passed away in 1990. So happy Black History Month everybody.
