I'm gonna rant for a second about fitness influencers on Instagram and TikTok and why I can't stand them And it's not that like I think it's good to promote fitness and like get people into it and like be proud of yourself For what progress you've made for most of the time. They're only promoting like the physical benefits There's so many more benefits to working out besides just the physical and then they're also just spreading misinformation and half of them are taking like steroids and not telling you and and it just drives me nuts as a personal trainer. So before you take advice from random people on the internet, do your research, make sure they're certified, make sure they have like a bachelor's in exercise science because I can't stand that shit.
I 100% agree with you on all of this years ago I used to follow like a lot of fitness influencers and all of the things you said are true and then also they're always trying to sell you some thing always whether it's supplements or they said they use this or that and it drives me absolutely insane
It's me too and it's always like selling you something that you don't need but they claim that you need it because of XYZ. You don't need whatever they're selling for the most part.
I definitely have an agreement with you I do you have a pretty big following on both platforms but I don't like calling myself an influencer I really don't hate using that word and I make it known that like I am not certified I try to promote in all the other positive aspects of working out besides physical peel like for me at health and mentally so much Just because there's just so much more than just looking a certain way
And like I said to I just like other people that I have followed in the past definitely I understand what you're saying with like they don't know what they're talking about they might be certified or have a degree or anything that so I definitely need to make a point to not spread information that I know nothing about because I can't stand that shit so why would I do that
I love that and I'm not even talking about people like you like I'm all for people like talking about health and fitness even if you're not certified and like saying why you love it and what you do and that's awesome because you can get other People to like also do the same thing and inspiring people is great and I post on social media all the time But I'm talking about the people that are like six pack abs 100,000 followers, but they're like doing all this weird shit taking all these supplements.
I've got to agree with you on this. It really also depends on which fitness influencer. For me, my favourite fitness influencer would be David Goggins, right? He's the real deal. And he doesn't really talk about fitness to that extent. He talks about the benefits of it. But I think his story and his life is... it talks for itself, it expands everything to bone.
I agree with you. I think it definitely matters who you're following and what fitness influencer, but in my mind I feel like fitness Influencers to me they're like the people that are just like showing off the physical benefits and like whoever you're talking about I don't even know him. I don't think he sounds like he's like well educated and he knows what he's talking about and he's inspirational You know?
Colour I was going to promote like I was gonna become a fitness influencer when I was thinking very of course I yeah I was gonna April everything as a whole and I was gonna put a bit of the beds are there I'm gonna be realistic way they're bad size to fit in 30 severely bad that will put you off but they are -3
And I think it's okay to promote things and like if you are an influencer that is fine but I'm really talking about the people that are like just lying about like if they take steroids or not and if they do all these other things and like if they've had surgeries and all that like They're two totally different things. I still think you can be an influencer, but be right about it be good
Yeah and people forget as well a lot of his influence and they've had a lot of surgery done to them which they don't disclose I'm not again surgeries and things but when you pretend to people that you achieve this by working out every single day it does that quite unrealistic body standards and so based on that I don't really approve of them either
Honest fitness influences of the best ones I want you to tell me to track your calories and then just going to go does it lose weight but the one to tell you like I have to eat the supplement do you spell only after the fifth such and such stuff like lemons I don't like the stance ones are the best ones
Oh girl I understand you fool on this topic because it just makes you feel uncomfortable and makes you question you are inadequate and CEO for your choices in life and make a question or a body make a wish on your attitude about sports and everything and it can continue are there in a good way or in a bad way and saw in the
And all I want to say that they usually don't to don't care about how exactly does it make you feel about yourself and don't wear any responsibility about war to impose the virus They are there of word is have in the listener
