So you don't need to actually track calories or macros to see results. And if you do, that's fine. Nothing wrong with it. It works for you. Perfect. Amazing. I've done it before. It's good to track specifically macros. And I would suggest doing it once in your life if you've never done it before because it shows you how you eat. If you don't know how to do it, get a trainer, get somebody to help you do it. But it's good to see your patterns and what you're eating a lot of what you're not eating so much of and how you can tweak your diet But I don't think it's good for the long term and a lot of people swear by it. They do it every day I am just not one of those people. I can't track every single calorie and macro that I consume It turns it into a chore It's not fun and I don't think it's realistic because I'm busy and And other people are busy, so I know you guys are busy if I'm busy And I just don't have time to be doing it all the time And I don't think it works well because if you go out to eat you can't track the food that you eat at the restaurant and it's just not good for like long-term use. Let me know your thoughts about it below.
I totally agree with you I did do it a couple of times before and then honestly this last time that I did it I knew I wasn't going to stick with it it was mainly just to see what I'm consuming how much calories I'm consuming per day and like I know it just like to have an average idea and then from there once I have an a good idea I'm able to cut down where I know my heaviest calories come from so I think it's good to like do it maybe once every 56 months just to kind of see where you're at
Your habits obviously are going to be changing throughout the months and a lot of times we are so consumed with life and work and family that we don't even notice what you know what we're consuming and it's so easy especially when you're out drinking more often than not or you're in a new relationship and you're going out to eat like it's so easy to get lost and then you end up getting so much weight and you're wondering why so yeah I totally agree with you this is really good advice
agree and I do the same thing I'll do it every you know few months like five or six months like you said and I think it's good if you feel like you're getting off track and you want to get back on track um and you just see like where you're eating habits are currently at and you know even for me just doing it once or twice I know that I tend to eat you know too many carbs and not enough protein so whenever I feel like I'm getting off track I'll readjust my focus to what I need to do.
I definitely agree with you I have on and off phases of tracking just a feeling on current goals are but I did find that like if I track for too long I become very obsessive and it just kind of creates other behavior patterns that aren't necessarily good for me So I don't always track
Yeah I think it is good to do you know occasionally or if you have like a deadline or trying to meet for like some goal or some thing you're training for then yeah go ahead and use it it's a very helpful tool but for like long term every day use I don't know you know it's just you can be too much and you can get obsessed with it like you said
