So I was having a talk with some of the people in my circle and just asking them about dating and What they've done here and there and so it makes me want to ask you guys the same question Do you want a fancy gift or something homemade from your partner? I feel like no matter what season of life we're in it would be nice to have something homemade I find it way more thoughtful than just getting something expensive that maybe other people have and usually when it's homemade It's one of a kind, you know, like not everyone else is gonna have it and I have a memory box that I put things in so It's nice to cherish no matter where things go in life But yeah, I just want to know what you guys think on this because it is easy to get reeled in with the fancy stuff but for me, homemade all the way.
I love how you spoke on effort because that's exactly what I was thinking because anyone could just go buy a fancy gift but the homemade part and the amount of time that he put into it is like key here. So yeah, good point.
I think that both gifts are great because homemade shows that he put a lot of effort into it but an expensive gift or fancy shows that he I mean cared enough to buy something expensive
I love how you use the phrase more valuable because that's so true and I feel like when things are homemade you just can't put a price on it. It's like priceless to begin with but it's more valuable than any expensive item in a fancy store.
Definitely depends on like how homemade it is if that makes sense but sometimes a good gift is a good gift like you should just know what I like or have an inkling but I like and go on that type of like row defined the kind of GIF I want
That's very true, depends on how homemade it is, but I'm also thinking about creativity. Like if he put together things that he knew I liked and also how to creative a spin on it, then I'm all for it, like the more the merrier.
I feel like I would definitely be more excited to receive something that's homemade. Like I feel like a homemade gift would mean more because that person invested their time, their energy, their effort and they really put their all into it. Just to you know make something that you enjoy versus going out and buying a gift and with buying a gift someone can also put thought behind that too. I just feel like the homemade one has more love behind it, you know, more thoughtfulness.
I love how you mentioned investing their time and energy because that is so true. Because going into a fancy store and getting something expensive takes like what? Like a few minutes. But to do something homemade, it takes hours. And that's a lot of investment, especially in today's time. So yeah, really appreciate you pointing that out.
I think I would rather have more of an experience. So like, hey, I know you've been wanting to visit this country. Let's go here together. Or I know you've been wanting to try the new sushi restaurant. I prefer that, but if it's between Fancy Gift and something homemade, Fancy Gift!
I'm obviously really big on experiences too and I think it comes from my background of international business and I will definitely say I know what you were telling me way earlier too about solo travel and like what you prefer to do and so I feel like that comes into play with what we want in experiences but if it came between these two options I would pick the homemade gift. I feel like it's a bit closer and plus we could save that money from the the expensive gift towards travel or something else that's worth an experience if that makes sense.
I would rather have a fancy gift I can be the creative one honestly give me a jewelry I am sorry I love that stuff like so much I don't care what anyone says I love it handmade stuff is cute too don't get me wrong but yeah I like I like the jewelry I like
