Would you move to another city for love? So earlier today I went out with one of my best friends from high school and she moved back here not too long ago with her husband by the way because when they first got married she actually joined him on the other side of the country. You know obviously love led her there and even though they had a great time on that side of the US they decided to come back here for their own personal reasons which I'm not going to share on here but I just want to know if if this is something you would do.
I will love the options who moved to another city for love. I mean I travel solo all the time I have these mini romances and love stories. We'll love for one of them to pan out.
Yeah, I see where you're coming from. Actually, I've heard that traveling is like one of the top ways of meeting your partner. And since you solo travel a lot and what you said in many romances, that's so interesting to me. And I really hope that it comes down to having an amazing experience at the end of the day for you. and you deserve the best.
One of the nicest messages I've ever gotten on here, that's so nice of you to say, but yeah, it's traveling solo and having many love stories has just been, well, one great first story tone with with my friends into really building up my confidence.
See I love that you said there's a difference between just love and marriage because marriage is already a huge commitment in itself And I do agree with you. I feel like there's got to be some form of commitment being shown for me to say yes.
Wow, that was actually really deep. Thank you for sharing that. Okay, this sounds really random and has nothing to do with this post, but you sound like a character from Lee Lohan's Stitch. Like no shade. Like it's one of my favorite movies from childhood, but I just had to point that out.
I would say that it is like a big sacrifice knowing that you're leaving behind your city, your comfortable, but if it's worth it, I will think about it.
I agree with you on thinking about it because it really depends on the location and also my current responsibilities because if there's a lot going on, it's not like I could just pack a bag and go. There's a lot of, you know, checkpoints I have to reach. So yeah, I get it.
Oh yes I have move to another country even for love my wife is Canadian and I'm American and so I went and spent a handful of months up there with her and now she spending months here
Oh wow, you know what? I'm really happy for you and your wife. That's actually really cool that in your case it was international. Like yeah, I know Canada is not overseas, but it's, you know, it's our neighbor. And that's honestly really wholesome. I'm wishing you and your wife all the best.
Oh, you're so sweet. I'm actually really flattered. I have a boyfriend, but I will say though, Definitely travel. You never know who you're gonna meet.
Yes almost definitely would move but I will have to ensure that this person is very serious about me and you knowing the move wouldn't even just be for the person it will be for me as well fresh new start new beginnings new scenery hey I'm all for it
I definitely agree and I know in society people are going, oh, that's so entitled. So that, no, I don't think that way at all. You definitely have to see what's in it for you to relocate because love is not enough.
If I like where am I if I don't like where I'm at sure if I do like where I'm at no I'm not gonna move to the city I'm gonna stay here and we can figure it out or some thing
That's very fair because location really does matter and that's why I was saying to somebody else I would have to think about it depending on where the place is.
So for me, being in a long distance relationship in different countries, we need to at some point move to the other country for the other person or another country together. And I'm definitely down for it. And I know he is too, which works out fine.
I've always been a bit of a traveler and he is too so I think that kind of makes it easier for us to take that decision but I get that for some people it might be a lot harder or seen as a more big step.
I love hearing this answer because I can't begin to tell you how many times I've talked to couples that are in long distance relationships And they just expect the other person to move to them like they don't consider maybe oh I should probably make the move, you know So it's nice that you and your partner work to this out so that regardless like you guys are gonna be together which is great. I'm happy for you too.
I was about to ask if you guys are travelers, which is you answered it for me. I'm again really happy for you too. no matter where you go, I'm wishing you guys the best.
