All right, so with the way that the dating world is these days, especially with everything I've been hearing about online and offline, would you rather be in a situation ship or be single? For those of you who don't know what a situation ship is, it's basically between a hookup and a committed relationship. It's something that's unlabeled and most of the time it has no direction. And so I'm curious to know out of these two options which one you would choose because for me, I would choose to be single. I rather wait for the right person to invest all my time and energy with. But I'm very open to hearing about everyone else's perspective here. So yeah, go ahead and let me know.
Yeah, exactly because if you're in a situation ship, you're technically single and I keep telling people that and they're like no No, it's a form of a relationship And I'm like I don't think so because the situation ship is between a casual hookup and a committed relationship So I'm right there with you.
Oh what? Wait a minute. I remember on another post of mine recently you said something about some guy who created a princess diaries type of date and honestly he sounds like a keeper.
No, he is a nice guy. I need some time to work on myself a little bit more and just figure out more things about me but he's a sweet guy. We're still good friends but yeah, I think right now is just not the best time. At least for me, I'm good for now. We're still friends and who knows what will happen in the future.
Yeah, exactly, because if I'm going to be committed, I want it to be with one person who's not afraid to call me their girlfriend, fiance, wife, whatever, like in that stage of life. So if I'm going to be in a situation, I don't feel like it's going to benefit me at all. You know, I just feel like it's just all the privileges and no responsibilities. So yeah, right there with you.
Oh wow, you know, I am the opposite. I rather be single because I have been there done that with situationships and I'm not interested and I feel like if I'm gonna be single, I want to be single all the way until I'm committed to being with someone. that makes sense, but I see where you're coming from.
But technically in a situation ship aren't you single? Like you're not in a relationship. For me I'm like oh I have this person on the back burner for my physical needs while I'm single waiting and going out and to meet other guys.
That is true, but I always saw that as a friend with benefits type of thing because in a situation I know I said this on another post that we were just talking on, but again it's just like one person thinking that there could be a relationship out of it. Like holding on, seeing if something could bloom into that, and not thinking about okay maybe it'll just start and stop here because it does tend tend to happen more often than you think.
I think it's funny that relationship isn't even one of the like choices but I would just pick Situationship just cause it keeps things interesting even though after a while it does get like tiring and you just would rather be single and have nothing to do with a man
I would definitely rather be single because I feel like a situation is a waste of time, especially if you're a person who's intentional and you know what it is that you want. A situation would just be so draining over time that it's just way better to be single. At least you know you're waiting for what you deserve, you're waiting for what you want, and you're not letting this other person drag you around or stressing yourself out.
I personally feel like it's better to be single because in the day when you're single you don't know and be distracted and you can build up boundaries and build up high degree of self respect so that obviously you can attract what you want not deal with and not what you want.
