So as part of what I want to do in terms of educating on, well, both tech side and the entrepreneurial side, having started companies, been advising companies and all that, I want to know, have any of you started companies? Have you been part of starting companies? If you haven't, would you like to start a company? Are you looking for insights to do that? If you have, what were the most difficult challenges and what were the most exciting parts?
Yeah, I mean just over a year ago me and three friends started an events company and we do events for our community in London. It's actually a really great experience. Yeah, big learning curve.
That is excellent and super exciting and well done if it's still going strong. It's a difficult space to be in the event space. Very, very cool, very cool to hear. What's been your greatest challenge for you personally?
I'm actually just in the process of starting a sole trade a ship for a side hustle of free-louncing, Which is super exciting, but it's just a side gig for now, which is fun. Yeah.
As brilliant and definitely helps to have the sisters and accountants. And also bear in mind, sometimes instead of necessarily having to come up with something new and all of that and something that isn't in the market, you just have to do something everybody else does but a little bit better or a little bit cheaper.
You got this and you've got a wonderful partner as well who's been part of a lot of this. I'm sure you can work as a solid sounding board for any ideas.
Yep so I started my own marketing company about three years ago and I see the most challenging aspect of it is having to manage so many things at once so if it's people with its processes if it's getting new business there's a ton that comes with it
What have you found as an effective tool to handle all of this? especially the first time you got chucked into it, what were the solutions that you found.
I had started a company, a digital marketing, and it was passion for a long time and lately it's just like I'm having to drag myself to get stuff done. So I don't know if I'm gonna stick with it or not.
Because people are assholes Kent and I am planning on setting up a funnel where is we can pretty much hands off I can do the software as a service thing but I'm in an area of a country where people does not wanna pay
And I literally it's like a fat Iser anyway and I'm tired of explaining the importance so I'm just focusing on going through stories and flipping stuff and then doing digital marketing part time
Yeah, people are definitely, definitely assholes. There's a lot of them out there. Interesting. Yeah, so it suffers a service. What are you selling? or what do you want to sell, essentially?
So I have a digital dashboard actually white labeled cloud campaign to be specific and that is the software that I set up as a funnel but right now I'm just focusing on flipping stuff because it's fun
Well, I'm happy to tell you about it sometime, or send you the video that I made. I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to stick with it because I'm just in a funk right now, you know?
I'd love to chat about it and hear more or watch a video and also massive respect for the music choice. I believe that is 45 by Shandown. I'm hearing there in the background. So we love it.
I spent quite a bit of time in AI and ed tech, so that's where my focus has been for the past five years. But now I'm getting back to the creative side of my life and venturing into creativity and having a studio just for that.
I don't know, like I would want to be an entrepreneur but I feel like it's really hard to run your whole entire thing. So if I was to be in charge of something I would just have to be like the overseer. like I'm not trying to do any actual paperwork and stuff.
Yeah, fair enough, but on the other hand, it's also a progression, right? So there will eventually be a ton of things, but hopefully by then you'll have a lot of people to help you do that. and there will be some paperwork but you can do it I'm sure
Yeah, bro to be honest with you. I'm starting my own company soon in two or three years years is going to be like a video game company design so I'm going to see what's going to happen.
That is excellent man, that sounds exciting. That sounds exciting. Have you got a background in video game design, development, any kind of things like that? What's urging you to start the company? But, well done man.
