Would I be wrong if I say religion is and always has been the greatest tool used to control spiritual people? They tried through military power and realized that need is the greatest tool ever used to control spiritual people.

When you're saying things like, if you don't follow these set of values, you're burning hell for all eternity. If that's not an element of control, I don't know what is. So there's definitely an element of control in religion.

I feel like it's something that manipulates somebody and guilts them into doing something that you want them to do which is textbook manipulation, so, you know and uh, I don't believe in hell, so I don't think I'm going there

So if you read the book of James it says that if you have good religion you will keep yourself unspotted from the world and visit widows and orphans. Last time I checked it was a good thing to visit widows and orphans.

I've had my own quarrel with religion personally, but I don't believe in heaven or hell or any of that stuff. I'm pagan. But when people tell me that if I don't believe in someone, I'm going to hell, to me that's hatred and evil.

I don't like religion personally because to me, and this is just my opinion and my own personal experience, I'm not saying this is for everyone or everyone else's views, I believe that religion preaches hate. Way too much.

I've also been in the spot where people have told me based on my sexuality that I was going to hell or the things that I did or the things that I believed in I was going to hell and I think that's just a disgusting way to look at things is to just preach hate all the time.

Jesus never was from a religion. Jesus was never a Christian to begin with. So this notion that it's like, oh, the religion, religion, yeah, religion has a doctrine of their own.

I heard a story that when Jesus started talking, all the demons came to the devil said, what are we gonna do? What are we gonna do? And then the devil was like, ah don't worry about it. The disciples and all the people will twist the message for us.

I believe in God. He's the one that created Jesus and Jesus died for all of our sins and religion hasn't done Jack's shit. God doesn't care about religion.

Yeah, I understand that's why I understand people have this like this taste and disgust over religion But again, I'll preach it and I'll say it again. It's about a relationship with God not a religion

So the question is, is it good religion or is it bad religion? That's what the book of James, that's what James is talking about. And so the true religion is the correct religion.

Well, Jesus did say, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me. So that's a pretty exclusive claim.
