So there's a really famous phrase out there that goes date your best friend. But do you think being friends first before dating is a good idea? And if so, does it really work? Because I have been torn about it because I have heard some pretty good success stories, but I also heard people who ended up breaking up and then they just couldn't even go back to being friends. I'm just gonna tell you how it went for me so I dated my best friend and we had known each other about a year and a half before that and it was like really good when we were together but as we broke up like it was so awkward and like it broke our friendship apart too so now we don't even talk anymore and that's the main thing I was worried about I was like when we broke up if we broke up I don't want to stop being friends and he said okay but he ended up breaking up with me and we stopped being friends
