What are cotton balls used for 20 years old and I saw it now

I love you so much for this cotton balls I feel like are not a necessity is if you don't need to buy them don't buy them because it's just an extra toys but if they are in the house I use them for like first aid stuff or getting my nail polish off I think that's everything that I can think of to be honest maybe getting in the little crevices that you're cleaning I hate that word
