Alright, travel advice. We weren't originally going to travel this summer, but I think we're going to travel this summer and we're going to go to Florida to see my dad. So we're going to go cross country, Florida to see my dad and then go up to Connecticut to see my mom, my grandma, my sisters. But thinking about taking my son to Disney when we're in Florida, it's like a little bit of a drive to Orlando. He is a shorter, six year old. I don't know, he's quite to like the normal height, but he's also a little bit of a security cat. Would you still take him to Disney anyway at six? everything.

We just came back from Disney in February, so my oldest is five and then my son's two and a half and then we have a She just turned one like a week after we came back from Disney and it was the best vacation We have ever taken it was so much fun all of the kids had a blast. They were so good. They loved it Disney is amazing for kids it is so awesome my two and a half year old and my my year old, my now 14 month old, were totally free.

And when I say totally free like I don't have to pay part park tickets or anything for them and we did Disney all together for less than $4000 cut and we drove we live in Ohio we drove to Florida it was seriously amazing I highly recommend taking your kids like it is amazing my daughter loved it but I will say if you're not gonna do fast passes it's either gonna be you're either going to see all of the princesses and characters or you're gonna ride rides like you can kind of do in between but really it's one over the other

OK all really helpful and good to know you're not sure if he'll be into rides or not like he acts like he's scared but then when we go to ones here at Seaworld he likes them so I don't know I think I have now gotten him excited about it so we probably will probably have to go

Oh my gosh that makes me so happy to hear that you had a one-year-old and you took them to Disney. So we were gonna take a family trip with my brother's two kids. He has a four-year-old and a two-year-old. My daughter will be one at the time and I was wondering like how would that go with a one-year-old? Were you able to like even sit on any rides maybe like tea cup? I don't even know. Like what did you do majority of the time with the one-year-old?

OK so I definitely plan to take my son to Disney once he's old enough he's obviously only one so we have a wild but I think age 6 is definitely like a really good age

I was showing him some videos on YouTube today of Epcot and the animal kingdom and he's like rubbed up to go now so I think we might have to take him

I see yeah you should take them to Disneyland because or Disney World it's really good experience I heard like if you take them when they're like six years old that they well I guess so I'm really think I think or some like that I don't know but yeah I think you'd have fun so yeah it's a good idea honestly it's a great idea honestly

Yeah that was the other part of it I was like you know it's definitely an investment and funds to go so will he even remember but I feel like he'll remember the experience no matter what and I think six is definitely a time where you would remember things

I say absolutely. I've taken my three-year-old to Disneyland I think four times and my little one he's one and a half. We've been with him three times. I don't know. We're a Disney family. We love Disneyland. Even before we had kids we went a lot. For me, there's something for all ages, all sizes, all like I don't know I just love it and they love it.

I would suggest maybe finding one park to go to and maybe not planning like to visit all of the different parks. Yeah, that would be my advice.

Yeah that's probably a good idea I know in Florida they have a bunch of different parks and that honestly as a parent sounds exhausting like doing multiple day is walking around waiting in lines sugar Mountain Downs I think that's a really good idea just pick one her now

I've been to Disney before and the biggest thing you wanna make sure is if he's going to be tall enough to ride the rides at Disney because I know Disney's all about the experience and as long as he's old enough to truly take in everything that he's experiencing at Disney then I think it be worth it

Yeah that's what I was worried about too I think I'm gonna have to measure him and like look up the rides because he is a small six-year-old and I'd hate to have him get there and like be really excited and then not be able to ride Ryan's and be disappointed so I think I'm gonna do my homework

I think yes for Disneyland for a six-year-old it's a good experience I think they're gonna enjoy it more now because they're young and think it alter other rights or less fun or maybe not so just give that experience to your six-year-old

Yeah, that's a good perspective. He's still like a little kid and I'm afraid when he'll get older he might be too cool for the characters and stuff like that which is part of the magic.

Yes if you had the opportunity I would totally take them I think that's a good age because they know how to behave and stay close to you and it's not so much of a safety risk but also like even if he's shorter and can't go on all the rides if he's kind of a scaredy-cat anyways maybe that's for the best

Is it terrible I never even thought about the safety risk yeah he definitely I mean he runs around a little bit but he could say close and you're definitely as an only child has a bit of stranger danger but that's a really good point to an ever thought of

I think six is a great age even if he's like on the shorter side there's still a lot that he can do and you always got a remember there's so many parades in characters and meet and greets with the characters and the dining and the snacks and they're just in other shows there's just so much you can do besides just the rides I would we lived in Florida for a few years and we were close to Disney World so me and my husband we go all the time and you would see like the really really little kids and they just like they're not having fun like

Which I understand parents still taking their kids thinks they want to meet I'll create memories for themselves I totally get that but I think the ones I saw having the most fun we're like five and up for sure I'm so understanding it more and they're gonna be so excited We what I was going to say is are I would say the definite the biggest if you go to Disney World the park you have to hit for sure is Magic Kingdom of course but then Animal Kingdom will probably be my second favorite for kids as well

Yes I think we really hard to choose if we don't they couldn't do all the parks I love Epcot I know he loves animals and then I feel like just like the classic Disney world park is like the most quintessential experience so I think I need to do some more research and think about this

I'm probably the only no. I think you only go to Disneyland for the first time once and it'd be better if they were older, so it's not like a half to bake memory like eight minimum.

Yeah you have a point that's that's one of my fears too as we do this like big trip and obviously committing to go to Disney as you know cost in time and all that and then it won't be something that he remembers but I don't know trying to think like do I remember things from when I was six and don't think really so between that and the height is like the two things holding me back because he's a small six-year-old

I think he'll remember stuff, but I don't think it'll be as vivid of memories if he were to experience it when he's like a little bit older. Because since he only gets to experience it for the first time once, I think it should be like a good solid like vivid memory from when he's like a little older and plus with height and stuff. I know there's a lot of yeses. I would take my kids as soon as I could too but you know cost and everything in memories.

Yes I said do it I took my son and he was only a year and two months I am around Christmas time and I think your six-year-old would probably enjoy it more than my toddler
