You know, kids are not the only ones who mess up, because parents are just big kids sometimes, and we mess up too. And sometimes we mess up with our kids, and I think it's up to us to apologize to them, to be a role model for apology and not be built up in pride when we need to humble ourselves and admit when we've made an error, especially one that hurts them. So I hope I've apologized, and by apologizing, I hope I've taught them how to forgive as well.

Yes, I think a wound that so many adult children, well, if you're an adult, you're also a child. Always. Someone had to have you. A big wound is never having a parent apologize because every parent has messed up.
