Did you know that Pinterest gets as much traffic in a month as Google does in a day? While that doesn't seem like a lot, that's actually a really big deal. People are starting to use social media platforms to search for things, look for reviews, get opinions, far more than they are going to search engines like Google. Do you think that social media has potential to erase search engines in the way that we search and people just solely rely on social media.

I don't think the search engine is going to change or be replaced 100%. just that social media has photographs and videos uploaded by the users and

It is more attractive for people that are searching for reviews on products and services rather than reading just an old blog post.

Yeah cause I know personally when I'm searching for things I'm a visual learner because I'm dyslexic so I have to watch videos especially like things like TikTok that really help me when you search as well

Also when you search in Google it automatically brings up TikTok and other social videos that are related to what you are asking i.e. how to wash my hair like I'll bring up a TikTok video so maybe

Exactly, and what I guess people don't get is that now more than ever the social platforms are popping up in the search engine. People are more likely to click something that's visual over reading. But that's just me. don't get it but it'll happen.

Well, I would be very curious to see those numbers and see if those are mutually exclusive because I know that I end up in Pinterest a lot when I search things on Google, especially from searching products and I go by image search.

Essentially, I'm thinking that a lot of the traffic on Pinterest probably comes from Google rather than searching in Pinterest on proprietary search engine.

Hmm, when you put it like that, I definitely could see where those numbers could be a little puffed up. But I do know that I use Pinterest a lot, like, to the point where I'm embarrassed to tell you how many pins I have. But that's the only thing we're here to do.

Yeah social media can replace search engines honestly half of the job that I did before I got fired was through like chat GPT tick-tock and stuff like that like it was so simple technology and I have a personally think the best algorithm of the best search engine happens to be TikTok you can search anything on there and it will find the right video it's crazy

At this moment in time I don't think that social media will you please search in the engines I think that I could've one point but you see how the access to information on TikTok is being handled so I think there's an advantage in having this monopoly over search engines

I don't necessarily see it replacing it but I do see how it gets more more more energy but Pintris is always at the top anyway we go for images and they always for the best images up but I don't know for certain certain ideas to pay for advertising you need to get the best answer you get the most pay for answers or is that
