So I shared last week that I've been really down and struggling with my mental health. My friend reached out to me and asked me to go for a run with them this morning and I'm thinking that we're going for a jog. I did not think that he really wanted us to sprint. Let me tell you, I am still catching my breath because yesterday was leg day for me. I, bad idea. Big mistake, huge. I should have just done a quick pace. Um, but yeah, what do you, are you guys a sprinter? Or are you a jogger? Or are you, like your girly here, a person who likes a little bit of a pace, a nice walk?
That's what I'm saying and I did cross country like I did track but do I want to wake up after a full shift and leg day the day before to go for a sprint around my neighborhood? know.
Even the jogging starts to get on my nerves. Like, I'll start jogging and then I'm like, I feel like I'm literally poguing on my knees after a little while. I don't know. I have a problem clearly.
Yeah and with that you can like pace yourself more you know instead of like sprinting I feel like sprinting should be meant for a short distance thing like it shouldn't be the first thing we're doing first thing in the morning.
Oh god, Sprinter. Long distance is like, oh god, how do people do it? You know, they're getting cramps. They were like, oh my god, how much longer? I spent you know how far I kept going.
That was literally me that morning. Like I started running and I didn't know we were going to be sprinting. So he starts sprinting and then I start trying to catch up. But then after like one block, I'm like, when is this over? Why am I being tortured?
It's so crazy because even when I was in track I hated running hence why I wanted to do the hurdles and that's what I ended up doing because it was slightly different than everything else everyone was doing.
I do something called high intensity interval training, better known as HIIT, and I love sprinting because it just brings up my endurance. I just feel like I'm on top of the world when I sprint.
Oh my, okay, well get a plane ticket, come to New York, and the next time my friend is crazy enough to call me to meet up with him at five in the morning for a run, you're going for me.
