So do you guys use an alarm clock to wake you up? I mean I of course used to when I was younger and even you know in past years I used to but I have this level of panic and urgency where it actually really hurts my chest when I use an alarm clock even when I leave it on vibrate. So over the past I want to say two-ish years, three years I've just been waking up when and I wake up and usually I wake up because of other things going on. If there's lawn mowing, if there are birds chirping, that's how I usually wake up. And most importantly, if I sleep at a decent hour, then I'm able to wake up relatively early. So what do you guys do to, you know, wake up? Do you guys use an alarm clock? I just can't use it anymore. It's like really bad. I don't know why, but it's just, It's really bad when I try using one.
Yeah, I don't think I've used an actual alarm clock since I was like literally a child, but I don't even use the one on my phone. I used to do different variations where I would have something with the song, something more calming, something that was boppy and trendy, something fun, even like this vibrate motion and it would still just startle me so much that I just had to just start winging it without any form of alarm.
Kudos to you for any of the women I am somebody I like if I'm not tired at all it's horrible in here my alarms like I would love the calming music or you know something like that but I will not hear and it Hass to be one of those really annoying annoying like loud alarms and he has sometimes that doesn't work for me
So I do have an alarm set at 4:30 AM to go to the gym but sometimes my body just kind of reeks up a little bit before then I go back to sleep and just wait for my alarm but it's it's a little bit of both
I used to but it jarred me awake too much so I have like, it's still an alarm but it's like it plays calming music like little chimes so it wakes me up gently instead of like shocking me awake but I try not to use it. I kind of train my body to wake up at a specific time because I I've tracked how many hours I tend to sleep if I just let my body sleep.
And after I tracked it for a while without like waking myself up at any specific time, I learned that my body was waking up naturally at about eight and a half hours. And so if I wanted to wake up at a specific time, I would just time it. So I would go to bed like eight and a half hours before I needed to wake up. and then usually I wake up by myself at the right time.
I know what you mean. It can traumatize you, like the alarms. I got the same feeling, maybe not as strong as you described, but I prefer to use vibration on my watch. That's working for me because I need to wake up 3 a.m. once a week or sometimes twice a week so it's not regular, regular things.
So it depends like if I have nothing on the nerve but if I do have like work or something then yeah but not like a traditional alarm clock I just use my phone
