So the everlasting battle between the traditional plastic cards, credit and debit cards, versus the more modern Apple, Google, Samsung, Amex, Pay, you name it, they all have one at this point. Generally, reports suggest the last few years that I've been reading them, and yeah, if you want, you know, 35, 40, fun filled pages about just payments do feel free to read these global payment reports that are coming out but if not then I can tell you that quite often it indicates that plastic cards traditional cards still are people's favorites and people are not despite simplicity in use of Google on that public Google pay there's still no there's no incentive over using plastic card etc. You can talk about security and this and that but ultimately people find it just as easy or easier to just pull out a contactless card, use their plastic and done. So what about you? What do you find better, easier, more secure, more user-friendly? I'm very curious to hear your feedback on this. Essentially the question is in short, regular plastic credit at debit cards or or Apple Google Samsung Pay or any similar alternative to that.
Absolutely and they did a study of this micro transactions and contactless thing was in Canada even though a lot of people have done it now Massive spending increase the moment we started seeing the micro ones, you know, what's to two quid here five there seven there Yeah, who cares? That adds up, man.
Yeah, fair play and I think this is mostly the younger generations take on it as well, leaving it with the Apple Pay or the Samsung and Google Pay or anything equivalent.
It's so funny that like older generation Z they went from cash to card and now we're going from like card to Apple Pay it is so funny because now I feel like I'm sound like one of those old people how old rather use my card rather than Apple Pay
Yeah, it's funny you say that because, you know, when card came, well, just look at any technology and went, you know, this was something that wasn't really massively and widely used right away, you know, widely accepted. Same thing with the contact list. Wasn't really accepted. I mean, in the UK, for instance, until the tube, the metro started using it and all of a sudden it blew up. So, and now people don't want to use Apple and Google Pay on the older generation. It's going around in circles.
Yeah, there are plenty of people who are of that opinion that wearables, phones, all that will take over and eventually you're not going to need a card. I mean, virtual cards are also really on the rise. And there's a lot of interesting things we're doing, a lot of interesting things over the next year or two on virtual cards. So yeah, it's worth keeping an eye on the space.
I don't know should I say that it feels like Apple or Google pay is more safe like originally I would be like card store but they have like so many cards snipers and scanners and whatever where is Apple Pay just gonna tap and go so I don't know yeah it's easier to not spend money when you're using a car though I do feel
