So, I am a lifelong dog owner, to some extent, either by association because we had them growing up, or now that I've got a beautiful one-year-old adolescent, well, he still acts like a puppy, so I'm going to call it a puppy, and it is a mix, a rescued street dog in Greece, an ancient breed called Kokoni. Anyway, I digress. What I'm wondering as we are talking about various types of tech and so on, I have not really ever even considered this a reality because I am absolutely head over heels for animals and particularly dogs. But in the general public, what are your opinions on tech replacing animals. Now first of all what would that look like? I mean since the early 2000s or even 90s I reckon we've had these toy robot dogs and cats and so on furbies you name it there's been some sort of equivalent in toy form. What about serious tech form? Do you think we'll have a Roomba that is there's basically a pet that you can talk to and train do you think that we're gonna have fully fledged robot dogs maybe the way you see it in Kingsman when you've got guard dogs who are fully mechanic I'm very curious because I have actually never discussed this with anyone ever because I've just know it's never come up so I'm wondering what your take on this is.
Yeah, absolutely, I feel you. And I've got a beautiful little dog as well, and I couldn't for the life of me see something replacing him that's mechanical. Actually, nothing, no mechanical either, that sounded very wrong. But someone made a point that maybe that could be something to consider for those who can't, or maybe shouldn't even have pets. They can't take care of them, or won't take care of them. You can have the mechanical version instead. We can send them a therapy.
All I'm gonna say is I take care of my actual pets better than I took care of my Tamagotchi's as a kid so I really hope tech doesn't replace parts because I love my fireballs
Yeah, no, I completely agree. God forbid that I take care of the little one as I did my Tamagotchi. Someone's just saying that Tamagotchi's are coming back in place, so maybe I need to give it another go. Maybe my pet skills will now be transferable to the Tamagotchi.
I think Tete will play some Tets and it would be good to have a rebel dog, you know. I'd like to have a dog that could do the things I could do. Which I mean, I know it would be very convenient too. So, mind just having a dog, watch what I'm saying ladies and gentlemen. Yup, clean up, make sure you clean up. So yeah.
Yeah, I guess that's a good point. You could go a little bit further than what you can train a regular pet to do. And you never know, mate. You never know. All of a sudden, we've got them all around us. and it would be quite a scenario.
Probably but like that emotional attachment is definitely not gonna be there I mean I do see a tattoo place not just pets a lot of things in the world like for pets Yala emotional attachment will be there from the owner
Yeah, very good point and obviously that emotional attachment is something but what do you think about people who? Don't necessarily have the ability to to have that emotional attachment or maybe they don't Feel like they can or have the ability to And someone made the point of perhaps it's good for people who can't take care of pets elderly these types of things Yeah, it's quite interesting.
Yeah, fair play, fair play. I feel the same. But someone made a very good point of how about replacing it for people who can't take care of pets or maybe more importantly shouldn't have pets or elderly things like that. People who need that extra bit of support but can't necessarily take care of the actual real life one. You never know.
Yeah, no, as a dog owner I completely agree, I completely agree mate. Someone raised a good point though about perhaps there's something that can be used for people who can't or shouldn't take care of actual pets or something like the elderly, you know, maybe there's something that can give someone a connection without necessarily having to have the responsibility of taking care of them.
Yeah, if I play, I think I completely agree with you. Someone did raise a good point though, in terms of what about people who shouldn't take care of pets or can't take care of pets? Perhaps it's a good replacement for them. So we know that actual real life animals can have better homes and those who shouldn't be doing any pet care in the first place can have machines.
No no no there's no way I don't think to take whatever piece of pets unless people actually wait to get like a pet dog days are over I think that's weird I will never do in the future yeah you might become a chance if you become the Chandan Lussier No
Tag will absolutely not replace pets maybe for some people but it's like saying texting replace babies that she's are humans for that matter just like I didn't like a loving way like a functional way share like no I'm not loving a robot well I mean not as my dog
