So I'm just curious to see if anybody on here really does read the Bible and what made you want to read the Bible. It's really interesting and fascinating the stuff that you can grab from it. I think there is people that get too caught up in the Bible and kind of obsess themselves over it. But there is good things to get from the Bible hands down. I mean, it's the number one selling book in the world. It has to be for a good reason, right? Am I wrong?

The Bible will tell you anything, but God can confirm it. So it's really more of me building a relationship, but I use the Bible so my spirit can grow, so I can feed my spirit.

You say that a lot of people who obsess over it, I think that's a good obsession. It is far better than obsessing over sex, it's better than obsessing over alcohol, it's better than obsessing over video games, I think it's a good obsession.

And if you truly believe that the Bible is the Word of God, written by man, inspired by God, the 66 different books that were written throughout time, then you should obsess over it, because it's your Heavenly Father's Word.

speaking to you and you will realize that the more you study the bible the more you know the word and the word is in you the more you will hear the holy spirit's voice the only thing that's keeping you from hearing it is you don't recognize it

Spirits communicate themselves to you. They speak to you. And the only way to recognize the Holy Spirit from other spirits is to know the Word of God. The Word of God gives you the character of God so you understand who He is.

A good example of this is if you was at a party and there was a lot of people yelling and screaming and stuff but your brother is calling you and you hear your brother's voice you will recognize your brother's voice over everyone else's

Why? Because you know your brother. You know his character. You know how he talks. So you can identify his voice. Same is with the Holy Spirit. And Jesus even says, my sheep, they hear my voice.

Voice and follow me. If you're truly Jesus' sheep, you need to know how to recognize his voice. And there are many other spirits that try to talk to you, many demonic spirits that try to talk to you.

And don't be deceived thinking that you're invincible just because you're a child of God. Because even Jesus in the desert when he was fasting for 40 days, the devil tried to deceive him. So if he tried to deceive him, he's going to try to deceive you.

I have the Bible app on my phone and I'm trying to make a point to read some of it each day. I haven't been too successful with every day, but I have a word of the day each day.

A word a day is enough to exercise the faith. I pray that you continue to study the word, get closer to God, know that He loves you and that He's with you, wherever you are and whatever you're doing, even within the bad times.

Hey brother, I was kind of tired yesterday. That's why I didn't get back to your responses, but I am getting to them today.

I think you focused more on me saying the obsession. I wasn't it meaning to you. I wasn't saying you were obsessed with the Bible.

But you have to admit that there is some people out there that when they read the Bible, they get so caught up into it that they lose themselves within the Bible.

With that being said, again, at the end of my sound ****, I said that the Bible is an amazing book. It's the number one seller. And I said that has to be for a reason. There must be something good coming out of the Bible.

So again, I don't knock the Bible. I think the Bible is a great book and I think it has a lot of amazing things to learn from it, but I don't think it's the end-all be-all of loving God.

And what do I mean by that? I don't think you need to read the Bible in order to go to heaven. Now I know that may sound controversial, that may sound crazy, but I don't think you need to understand the whole Bible in order to go to heaven.

As I've been reading the Bible, there's just certain passages and certain parts of the Bible that mean nothing. There's just a bunch of passages. You don't need to use every passage as a way to respond to people.
Reply

I completely disagree with you. As someone who read the Bible many times, I can tell you that every passage has a meaning and a purpose behind what is being told to you.

I don't know why you dog, Dillion, I believe is his name, about reading the Bible or fables or 50 Shades of Grey. I don't understand that comeback, but wow.

I'll explain it to you. She said that why do we read the Bible if it's a bunch of stories? And my response was that she probably reads Harry Potter, Fifty Shades of Grey, or Game of Thrones. Those are all fairy fables. So that's what my response was.

No one dogged anybody. What are you talking about bro? Like stop. Mama G aka Rare. I don't even know how to say your name but anyways bro. I have no idea what you're talking about bro.

First things first, I'm not your bro. And it's called the rare gem. G-E-M is a gem as in stone. And it was a little dig on her comment.

I'm not like everybody else. How many people with albinism do you know?
Reply

Just a little history about myself. How many albinos do you know that has two other brothers with albinism and their parents are both black? So check yourself before you wreck yourself and have a great day.

Yeah, I'm sorry, that's not special. But it's okay, I get why you feel that way, it's understandable. I wish you well.

To answer your question, why not read the Bible if you believe in God? And also, it's been being translated constantly into different languages, and it's still printed, still being printed.

I read it once long ago, 10 out of 10, everyone should read it, absolutely. Having said that, I prefer the prequel, the Old Testament, I think it's easier to understand. Question for you, Jose, if there was an audiobook for the Bible, who would you choose to read it?

Hey brother, appreciate your response and your answer, really means a lot to me. Um, that's a good question. I guess if I had to pick a voice? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It's a tough one because I'm debating if it should be like a woman's voice or a man's voice, but I think I would prefer a man's voice over a woman's voice for some reason, I don't know why. Because I am listening to an audio bible and it's a man's voice.

So my final answer would be actually I'm listening to Jordan Peterson read the Bible right now, so that's not too bad. But if it would be something funny, I'd probably pick like. Christopher Walkins to read the Bible.

I'm curious why people are still reading thousands of years of misconstruction of a bunch of fables. That's what I want to know and why people are putting their life in a book of fables.

Let me ask you a question. You believe the whole Bible is fables?
Reply

Because I can explain to you why the Bible is not made of fables and it's actually historical documents that have been gathered throughout time through various different sources throughout history.

Bruh, stop. Stop. You probably still read Harry Potter, okay? Or you probably read Game of Thrones. So you probably even read Fifty Shades of Grey. So miss me with that shit.

There is so much historical proof even outside of the Christian faith. One of them being is when the Babylonians attacked Jerusalem and destroyed the first temple in 586 BC. This is an event recorded in the Bible.

And all historians agree that this event takes place. Another recorded event that happened in the Bible is when Rome destroyed the second temple in 70 AD, they destroyed the second temple mount. And so there is the current rebuilding of the third temple.

The third temple is currently being rebuilt as we speak look it up even Israeli government talks about it All over the newscast because they're pro temple and the temple is a holy site for both Muslims and Jewish people and Christians

The reason why the first temple is so important is the first temple was built by Solomon. It's called Solomon's temple. And Solomon, in the Bible, is responsible for writing a few books. He wrote some of the Psalms and he wrote Proverbs in the Bible.

So that one example is just one of the many examples I can give you that the Bible is not made of fables. It's actually historical proof and historical evidence. People who say that the Bible or fable are people who haven't studied the Bible or don't know history.

We have records of King Nebuchadnezzar, the king that is responsible for launching the Babylonian assault against Jerusalem. Again, this is just more stuff. I encourage you to do research. Don't stay ignorant and don't believe the world lies.

I also forgot the book of Eccelestes. Solomon wrote that book as well. He wrote all that book. He's actually the genuine author of that book. Historians agree that it is a document indeed in fact written by Solomon.

I've recently started reading the Bible because I was called by God. And to others, that may seem crazy, but the Bible is real. And we are living in the end times just like-

Amen, God be the glory. And if you have any questions relating to the Bible, please ask me. I am a pastor. I study the Bible every day, thoroughly, and I've read everything multiple times.

Just like the Bible predicted, do I feel like the whole Bible tells the truth? I feel like people on earth has done what they did for many years, miss the truth with the lies, but it's your discernment.

It's about knowing what to get from it and what not to get from it and really building more of a connection with God than the Bible because God is the right source. The Bible could tell you anything but God will tell you everything.
