Apparently Selena Gomez went on Instagram today talking about she's taking a break and deleting her Instagram. She's done she doesn't support anything that's happening and then Shortly after it deleted that story post and her Instagram is still up and running Now people are saying okay. She could have just deleted her Instagram app. Whatever. Yada. Yada. Yada. Okay, cool But then why delete the Instagram story? like I understand social media is so much like especially when you're a celebrity, but I feel like at that point to like just Because I remember her saying this before that like she herself doesn't post on social media like other people Like manage her account or whatever and she just like tells them what to post Which is valid like just do that. You don't have to be online Like I personally would be so overwhelmed by everything on social media. I already am I barely post I barely look at stuff Like I just try to protect my own mental health But I don't know. She's kind of dramatic for real

first of all i just want to say i definitely agree with you that social media can be extremely overwhelming which is why even though i myself am a full-time content creator i barely look at a lot of things because again it truly is overwhelming so you're not alone um but getting back to selena gomez and her dirty deleting that instagram story and just like so much of her name being thrown out in the press right now like i completely understand why she is saying and doing these things but at the same time i don't because like you said she has representation

I didn't see, like, this story get uploaded in the first place. I actually don't even follow her, but so many of my friends do. But her name keeps coming up on my TikTok, actually, because there are so many people exposing Rare Beauty because of who the current CEO is and, I guess, like, what he's supporting and how it's not equating to what Selena is saying and doing. So people are just really confused on why she would choose him.

So I didn't see the other story, but apparently she uploaded something saying that her voice did not matter and that sparked up a lot of conversation on a lot of social media platforms. So I don't know if you saw that initial one. I personally did not, but I keep seeing it being reshared. So I think that's where people really started to get angry with her.

Yeah, no I definitely saw that initial post. She had posted that, and then I guess yesterday she had posted this like for a very short amount of time and then took it down. And people are saying that she obviously made this second post because she was then already getting a lot of hate from her previous post and her previous comment that she did make, which I don't know, it's like so understandable at this point. Like, I feel like she just needs to head off her social media to like her.

I like social media, because the fact that you could say your thoughts and your ideas, even if people don't like it, or they like it or not, I don't care if they don't like it. I do it anyway, because I want to get my thoughts, I want to get my ideas, I want to get my inputs out there, you know? People like it, that's wonderful, that's awesome, I don't care, but I love social media.

Yeah, no, exactly. I definitely agree. Like, that's the whole thing with free speech, you know, you can say what you think, say how you feel, and ask what other people think, you know?

I mean, with Selena, she has a lot of people following her. Especially 400 million of people that she don't know, but they're following her. Plus the media. Well, not the media, but the news, everything. It's a lot for her. I understand.
