So my colleague keeps making jokes about the disappearance of Amelia Earhart. For those of you who don't know, she disappeared while flying her plane around the world in 1939. And I don't know, I just think it might be a bit too soon.

Regardless if it's funny or not, if it happened to you and someone was laughing at it, you'd be highly upset. So, I think it's just compassion in general is what he's saying.
