I'm looking forward to people telling you where they got their talent from and you tell them that they got it from God. I got the popcorn ready for this one.
Alright, prove my point. I play guitar. Pretty good at it. Not brilliant, not an expert, but I'm pretty good at it. And I didn't get that from God, I got it from practicing really hard. Now tell me I got it from God, go on, you know you want to.
Well yeah, it had to begin from somewhere. So you could have watched that person that was pretty decent at guitar and you learned how to play the guitar, but they had to learn it from somebody else. And that person could have been even a believer of God himself.
So even though you didn't believe in God, or you don't think it came from God, nor the person that you learned it from didn't believe in God, but the person they learned it from probably believed in God and got that gift from God. So it's a trickle effect.
Also, you could be good at it but not great at it. So there's a mixture between being good at it and being great, god-like at it, you know? Having a gift that you can't even explain how it happened.
Thank you for proving my point. I knew this is where it was going. I knew it the second I read the question. I knew exactly where you were going to take this and I was right so you know one point to me.
Hey Boat, you see on my comment above that I just put that I explained the difference between a gift and a talent? And yeah, talents you developed at yourself. However, you know as a musician, one of the things you need is a good ear. That's a gift from God.
I have disgustingly dextrous feet. Yeah, I said it. Dextrous feet. I can pick things up with them. I can open doors with them. Just call me Monkey Toys. It's okay, I'm not offended. I'm actually not.
Okay, I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, cause I'm not, but you asked, so I guess I am. Um, no one can chew gum as good as me. I don't know if it's an acquired talent or if I was born with it, but honestly, I'm the best at chewing gum.
I don't really have much gifts, but I know that this one gift I have is kindness. And I like to share my kindness with everybody and bring positivity as well.
Gifts and talents are two different things. Let me explain. Talents is something you can self-develop. It is something that you can learn. It is a skill that you can maintain through practice.
Gifts, however, is something that is given to you by God. Think about what the word gift means. In order for something to be a gift, someone has to give you something. So, there are many different gifts.
So I'd like to share with you some of the gifts that God in fact can give you through prayer, that you ask for it or that he gives you depending on what he wants for you.
Here are some of the gifts that God can give you. He can give you the gift of insight. If you're ever stuck, He can give you the gift of courage when you are faced with an issue and you need to overcome it.
He can give you the gift of perseverance. He can give you the gift of humility. He can give you the gift of wisdom. He can give you the gift of knowledge. Something I personally ask for both wisdom and knowledge. He can give you the gift of outstanding moral knowledge.
My gift is being able to assess people and read them very well. I can read somebody's personality just by like a couple of words and kind of just give a whole spectrum summary on them, like real brief. I'm not sure if I'm reading it right.
Yes sir, I think God is giving you the gift of discernment. There's two different types of discernment. There's discernment in moral character and judgment, which I think you have, and then there is spiritual discernment.
I guess I have the gift of gab. I love to talk and like articulate and study, but also I'm a multi instrumentalist Do music production do video editing? and um... Get comedy... a lot of shit... lot of shit.
