I personally would prefer a monogamous relationship in the future. However, personally, I would be open to an open one. There's different reasons why people would do a polyamorous or open relationship.

For example, I've been a part of the military family type community for most of my life and I've seen soldiers and their wives or soldiers and their husbands have open relationships because the service member is always gone, whether it's a deployment or training that takes them away for months to a year at a time. So they've opened their relationships so that neither parties get lonely.

I think personally it just comes down to the couple themselves, you know, what they will tolerate, what they will not tolerate. I don't judge open relationships or polyamorous relationships in a negative way. Obviously they had their reasons for opening their relationship, perhaps part of it could be they feel they have a lot of love to give, you know, more than just to each other. And it works, you know, it works for them. But people are monogamous, I respect just the same, you know.
