So you understand from this verse 10:94 that the Quran implicitly state the the previous scriptures are not corrupted? I think you didn’t read the verse 10:93 just before 10:94 where it says that Children of Israel differ after they received the knowledge.

[[10:93 : Indeed, We settled the Children of Israel in a blessed land,1 and granted them good, lawful provisions. They did not differ until knowledge came to them.2 Surely your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment regarding their differences.]]

they knew that a last prophet is coming and they recognise him because Prophet Mohammed was described in their scriptures. This is why some Jews and Cristians became Muslim in the time of the prophet

Which verses in the Bible speak about a coming prophet after Jesus? Especially one that is not an Israelite

The part where jesus say, I have so much to say but I must go or the comforter will not come. For HE shall glorify ME, AND OF HIMself HE shall not speak. The Quran is Gods words and In the Quran Muhmmad (peace be upon him) is not the speaker and the Quran is not about him. Its confirming what came down before and correcting the wrong doings people did to Jesus.

ALEPH. What part of God spoke to All his messengers don't you get? You think that when God Speaks to Muhammad, [peace be upon him], he will be saying something different than what he told the Jews and the Christian's? No. The Quran doesnt contradict the Bible. EXCEPT , IN THE places where the bible contradicts itself. GOD IS Consistent. Meaning , God Has given the same message to all his prophets. It's the same message. O isreal hear ..you're God my God is 1. Where r u going to realize

The Quran completely contradicts the bible. In the OT by saying that there is another nation that God will choose and in the NT by saying that Christ was never crucified and there will be another prophet after Him. Jesus said false prophets would come after Him and Paul warned against those that preach another Gospel. Our God is not the same. We worship YHWH, you worship another diety that prescribes other things that what YHWH prescribed for the Israelites. Muslims don't even keep the Sabbath.

The prophets were sent to unite the people. But the people divided themselves due to Arrogance, Jealousy, or Greed. What's your excuse for dividing the religions? The Christian's at the time of the prophet had letters from their ancestors which told them a prophet would be coming to this place so stay here . When the prophet came they gave those letters to him and said, we have been waiting for you. MUHAMMAD-IM. Wake UP brother!

Muhammads testimony cannot be trusted. Aisha was the one who assumed the messages he was getting were allegedly from Gabriel. Muhammad had no knowledge of this himself. Prophethood ONLY belongs to the children of Israel.

Oh yeah,Why didnt the Jews accept Jesus as a prophet?

This is incorrect information Aleph. Aisha wasnt even married to the prophet at the time of the Qurans revelation. Please brother. This is false information

You're saying that Aisha wasn't the one who said that Muhammad heard from Gabriel? Are you sure?
Reply

Yes, That is exactly what I am saying this is false information brother. AISHA wasn't around at the time. The Quran was revealed . Khadijah was his wife. And he knew who he was speaking to.

Sin. It is that simple. They wanted to continue to live in darkness and rebellion against God. Nothing new under the sun. Also due to ignorance of who the Torah truly points to. All the ordinances have been fulfilled in Christ.

If all the ordinances were fulfilled in christ then there was no use for Paul. Which Jesus said if u. See someone says they saw me here they saw me there believe him not .

Paul expounded on the things that were revealed through the ministry of Christ. He is simply an apostle.

Oh so paul can expound

But the seed of Abraham cannot be a prophet? The defendant of Abraham's son cannot expound ?! Yet someone like paul who use to KILL CHRISTIANS is more worthy than the seed of Abraham? ALEPH FOR REAL? REALLY?

Prophethood wasn't given to the seed of Abraham. Only to the Israelites. God did not make a covenant with all of Abraham's descendants. The covenant came through Abraham, to Issac and then Jacob. His sons became the 12 tribes and that's who the prophets ALL were. ISRAELITES.

I think Christians are gambling on two assumptions that must be true for them to be saved. Gambling on the Bible that contradict itself and gambling that all their sins are forgiven just because they believe in a sacrifice. more: these two conditions have no proof outside the Bible. and even the bible is very confusing. don't know what they will say to god after death.

A blessing is not the same as a covenant being established with you. Do you know what a covenant consists of??

So the verse in question does not avert that the previous scriptures are still intact. And it's more so a hypotheticalized scenario for the Prophet, which Allah is not expecting him to go to the previous scriptures. This is only if something extreme were to happen, and let's say the Prophet didn't have access to Allah anymore, and Allah just became completely unavailable. That would be his second best alternative.

Something else to bear in mind also is that it's not saying to go to these previous scriptures, it's saying go to the people, فَسَا الَّذِينَ يَقْرَأُونَ الْكِتَابِ الَّذِينَ is the اسم موصول, meaning those, right, those people who are familiar with the scripture, go ask them. That make sense?

And what's quite fascinating about this verse is that, in a sense, it is bridging that gap between the people who are carrying this previous scripture and the revelation here. Because it's assuring that this prophecy about the prophet being given a revelation, him being the final prophet, is with these people. And it's trying to tell him, don't ever think that these people didn't know you were coming.
