Here's the thing. Yelling at someone is not against the law, so calling the police won't do anything, unless he's like threatening you. But like, you deserve better than to be fucking screened and yelled at. Ew, kick that man to the curb. Ugh.

Yeah, I would definitely communicate with him, see if he's listening. If not, definitely seek some help.

If the only two options are to break up with him or call the police, I'd say break up with him. I mean, that is, I don't know the situation though. If he's telling about some violent stuff, maybe call the police. But yeah, either way, not a good situation. You deserve better.

Before breaking up, communicate with them. If he's still on his point, just break up.

As like everyone said we don't know the context of what you're dealing with and we can't assess that situation So we can only generalize what's happening here. So My best advice is...

Usually when someone is yelling at you is that they don't know how to cope with their emotions or they don't know how to communicate their feelings so they usually revert to anger and releasing that emotion at once.

These kind of people for me has a lot of communication issues probably, you know from trauma or like inner child issues But I'm telling you right now if they are still or consistently toxic towards you or yelling at you

Or and he is not getting anywhere or like doesn't give you the point that they're trying to say Then I think you should just break up with him if he doesn't want to hear you out your opinion

And remember this, do not call the police if it's only verbal, but if it becomes so toxic and verbally abusive that it becomes also extreme or physical.

Then I would seek help. It could be the police or any other person Because no one should deserve being physically abused or verbally abused and physically abused. So definitely think about your situation first.
