One of my favorite Netflix originals is Black Mirror, a British anthology series. Episodes explore a diversity of genres, but most of them are set in near-future dystopias with sci-fi technology such as killer robot dogs, autonomous pizza delivery, and a social credit rating system. Black Mirror has been referred to as speculative fiction, which means it's based on conjecture and doesn't exist in the real world. Or does it? I mean, many of Black Mirror's scenarios seemingly have been inspired by our current reality. A dystopian society may not be as far away as we'd like to believe. What are your thoughts? Also, if you're a fan of the show, what's your favorite episode? I'd love to know.
