Do you guys go to any type of mommy and me classes or like story times or anything like that I really want to I really do and our library has story time every week and every week I say we're going to go this week we're gonna go this week and I just don't in real life I'm a really awkward socially anxious person I have a lot of anxiety and I just for whatever reason I can't get past this block I have I have literally no mom friends in real life I don't go to like my meet ups or like mommy classes I don't know it's just really hard for me and I don't know why because I love making mom friends online I don't know why it's so much harder in real life but I'm struggling do you guys go do you recommend it I don't know
so i did a lot with my first son before the pandemic we would go to like the library and music mommy and me classes then the pandemic hit and life kind of got crazy um then i had a second and we haven't gone with my youngest yet but I want to for sure.
Yeah, I think the pandemic definitely made me a lot more apprehensive to do things like that. So the germs and all of that, it's definitely something that I'm worried about and is holding me back as well, but I know they need to be exposed germs as well so I don't know.
So I'm currently doing soccer, mommy and me classes. I've taken her to like my gym but that's about it. I do want to do more activities with her when summer comes up. So I'm really
So I do not and nor have I ever attended any I did have interest in it Mrs. due to Covid and everything else just everything was online and I just feel it goes to risky
I don't go. I live out in the middle of nowhere so I just literally don't do that. But I, yeah, I just stay home all the time mainly. I'll take my daughter to the park when I can, when it's nice outside, I'll play with her or all this other stuff.
I feel you. I also pretty much live in the middle of nowhere. Not as bad as where I used to live, but it's still like there's not a lot around. There's basically just the library and the parks.
So I have never done mommy and me classes I just enjoy taking my kids to the park or I'll take them swimming to the splash pad to the zoo or any kind of like fun activities like the art museum
I really want to do all of those things as well so far. The only thing we've really done is like the library, but he is only nine months old so and he just started like crawling and moving around so now I think he would enjoy like indoor playgrounds and stuff.
When my kids were younger, I was in a lot of mom groups and I did a lot of mommy play dates and everything. I enjoyed it because it allowed me to interact with other adults. I would say to you to just try it out like maybe one or two times. It's gonna be awkward but I think you'll be fine. I think you're
I think you'll be fine and I think you'll actually meet new moms and you'll be happy that you did it. but definitely try it out at least one time before you just totally write it out.
That's really good advice. Thank you. I think you're right that it would probably be awkward at first, but then I would get better. So I really think I'm gonna give it a shot and I will definitely update if I do. Thank you for your advice
But now that he's older he's 18 months I definitely want to start taking him again like he used to be and everything like swimming classes storytime the gym like this kid was active but he started to get sick often and I just got tired
I got tired of just taking him to get sick so I was like you know what I must stop taking classes during the winter and then now that it's like going towards spring I'm like okay I need to get him back out so yeah definitely go girl
Do you think he got sick more because of the weather you mean or because of germs? because that's definitely something that I worry about too with the germs.
I go when my daughter was younger and my son is also in a gymnastics class. It is a mom and a me class. I would say I definitely recommend it. I also have social anxiety, but once I'm with my kids, I feel like I'm fine.
