Hey stereo peeps, Moon here. I hope you're having a lovely Thursday wherever you are in the world. So this weekend I plan to have a friend over for dinner and I'm brainstorming what should I make until I came across something called seafood boil. Now being married to someone for many years that did not like seafood, I forgot how to make seafood boil. So somebody show me how. What do you use in terms of the broth to make seafood boil? I've looked online at different recipes and I'm getting conflicting information. Some people make the broth from scratch using a few spices and so forth and other people choose to use already made broth. In that case, what kind of broth do you use and do you add seasonings? Comment below. Let's talk about it.

Have you ever heard of the YouTuber Belove? She is the one that inspired me to try a seafood boil. And I'm hoping to try that this week. I have gotten most, if not all of the ingredients ready. But she has a sauce that's actually now sold in stores, but I don't know where the sauce can be found, so I'm just going to make it myself. It's actually super easy to make it myself.

So, her family, like her husband, for example, he does not really care for seafood either. However, he'll eat it with her sauce. The sauce is decadent enough to where it takes away that sea life flavor, and her family loves it. She'll call them to dinner, be like, dinner's ready, and she loves seafood, she makes seafood all the time. But with her sauce, her family will eat everything.

So, if you're open to trying a little bit of seafood, I actually will send you the recipe if you want it, or I can post the recipe here in a soundbite, just in case anyone else wants to see it, but this recipe can be found online through her YouTube channel where she makes it live, and it's actually like super easy to put together, so I'm going to give it a try, and then I'll also do a live review on the taste, because I've never tried it before.

My first message didn't go through. I was just basically saying I never heard of seafood boil as well, even if it has anything to do with shrimp as well, let's say. But yeah, until I find the right kind of recipe of knowing how to do the right kind of seafood boil, I may even experiment.

I may experiment with it to see if I like it, because I know I like seafood. It's just kind of depending on what kind of seafood. But I know I like fish and shrimp. That much I do know.

Then I really think you'd really like the seafood boil because to my knowledge seafood boil it entails like lobster, crab, mussels, lobster tail, shrimp, crab legs, those kinds of things. You might be able to get away with other types of fish as well, I'm not exactly sure on that part. But just as seasonings.

It's seasonings with a broth, you know, some people make it homemade, some people use broth from the store and then put seasonings in it, so there's a wide array of ways you can make seafood boil. I haven't tried it yet, I'm hoping to this weekend, that is my hope, because I have the ingredients in the seafood, but I have to thaw the seafood and make everything else.

And personally for me, I would much rather have the time and space to prepare this meal versus rushing through it and it's not going to taste very good. I know that people also, once the seafood is cooked, they will add vegetables such as corn and potatoes to it as well, which I think is actually pretty interesting.

At this point, I only know how to make spaghetti only. It's just, uh, I cook my fish and stuff like that in the oven. So, yeah.

What is helping me to learn about seafood boil in detail is YouTube channels that show how to make it, reading different recipes that all have different recommendations. That way like I can get a consensus like an idea of how to make it, but I will be following a recipe very closely that way I get it right the first time. So yeah, I think that'll work.

So, that is what I recommend you do. That way you'll learn the craft before you attempt. But maybe there's someone where you live that can help you, that you know and trust, that maybe they know about seafood boil and they can give you some tips.

I may have to try it if I know where to look for the source of that and if you know where the source of the recipe is or wherever you learned it from, please hit me up on getting the recipe for it as well too, even if it has anything to do with shrimp let's say.

Yes, I'll definitely get the recipe to you that I found online that I plan to use for my seafood boil when I am able to partake in that. Would you also like access to the famous sauce that's circulating the internet and in stores now made by a lady called Belove? It's where you dip the seafood boil into that.

I think a seafood boil is unique every single time and every single person. I think I can kind of recreate what I've done before, but sometimes I make it spicy, sometimes I don't make it spicy. Listen, there's a shrimp powder, a caldo de camaron, shrimp bouillon from Knorr that you can use as a seafood base, but I actually prefer the better than bouillon because it's a concentrated paste in a little jar.

and the better than bouillon comes in all different flavors you can get it in like garlic herb and you mean just like all the different meat flavors different you know a variety of all those so better than bouillon I love to use because you can concentrate it you can use a little bit you can use a lot you know make it to what you want it to taste like always Old Bay seasoning is great and also using onions peppers you know other kinds of vegetables in

your base can create layers of flavors. What you want is different layers. I don't use liquid bouillon. I use either cubes, powder, or paste as bouillon. It stays fresher longer. Like I open a container of bouillon, liquid bouillon, and use part of it and then throw the rest away because I don't need it for something else. You know what I mean? Like it's less wasteful. It's more efficient to use either. And you can go to the Asian market and get Asian flavor

I think you have to figure out what you want it to taste like. Do you want it to taste kind of Mexican? Do you want it to taste kind of Chinese? Do you want to do the garlic and onion and herb flavors? Do you want to do lemon and pepper? And so once you get the idea of what you want it to taste like, creating that, you just put the parts together and make it. Have fun. It's definitely creative. Love and life.

You know I think the most important thing if I had to pick one thing about a seafood boil is don't overcook it. Don't overcook it. You don't want your seafood overcooked ever. Just just enough to be cooked. Love and light.
