The production is of good quality and professional but generic, in my opinion; nothing about it catches my interest. Different structure for a hip hop/rap song but relies too much on chorus and repetition for my liking. Not enough bars. And the bars we do get are lack luster, which could be fine but nothing is even particularly catchy, no interesting or compelling melodies or cadence. Overall, I'm very unimpressed and don't get the hype around this artist at all.

I love the 80s feel of the production, like something from Whodini. It sounds like an MF DOOM beat but cleaner. Many words used to match the nostalgic feeling of the production and good word play throughout, as well. Weird Al Yankovic had a line saying, "My favorite MC is MC Esher", something like that, that I always loved. And I love how Casisdead is a street guy but making references like MC Esher, David Bowie and Erasure. Kind of dark lyrical content on the chorus to really make you think ...

The dark lyrical content on the chorus to invoke reflection and add to the overall nostalgic feel of the track. Bonus points from me for the track length being 333 because I was born at 333. I really like the song.

I like the sultry, rich and slinking production, not overdone. These guys have great voices and are doing some great stuff vocally. Nothing really innovative but that's okay, they're a throwback to black R&B boy bands but with modern production; definitely a place for them in today's musical landscape, maybe not huge commercial success, but still a place. As a man, I can definitely relate to the lyrical content in this song. I like track.

* I like the track. It's giving boy band music for adults, not kids/teens, which I can appreciate. Your recommendation lead me to another of their songs, Don't Hurt Me, which I also really like. Do you know what's going on with them?? I can't find anything than thier 2015 release.

Unfortunately not. I feel they were just a fly by night type of thing who had good tracks but weโ€™re not selling as much as the b2kโ€™s or the other boy groups of the time. Itโ€™s a shame though. They made some good songs

Yes definitely a shame because they sound much better than like a B2K or Pretty Ricky, in my opinion. I will surely give their whole album a listen through at some point. Thanks so much for the recommendation and feel free to leave another any time.

You're an asshole for this. Yes stupid, funny, silly, ridiculous, whatever. The slide guitar sounded particularly uninspired to me. They had a chance to give me something redeeming musically and they failed. F minus.

Okay, Pete. I've definitely heard a few Falling in Reverse songs over the years but never one with rapping. I thought they were a straight emo metal core band; so I was surprised by the rapping. I needed to look into it because I wasn't sure if all the rapping was done by Radke or not. I discovered this has been a part of their music for awhile. His main influence is cited as Eminem, which I can definitely hear, but I think his style is much closer to Tech Nine, if you're familiar.

If you're not familiar with Tech Nine, you may want to check him out. Ronnie Radke's lyrics on this song are extremely relatable, I think to any person that would take the time to listen and read, nothing ground breaking but still some actual content. Very well written, though not extraordinary by any means. His delivery is well very well executed; I'd be curious to hear something like this live. As for his singing vocals on this track, again very well executed and technically perfectly ....

Though I feel they're a little bland for me, just lacking some unique character or quirkiness because they sound so clinical to me. I absolutely cannot knock the talent and skill level though. The escalation to the high Mercury esque belt on ".. everything was a LIIIIEEE" I thought was a very nice touch. The transition from hip hop to hard rock within is flawless. It's not your dad's cut, copy and paste rap rock. Of course the break down section is very effective and works so well ...

So what's missing for me?? Maybe a nice guitar solo?? I'm not sure that would work though. I won't be doing a deep dive into their discography but I probably won't be skipping any of their songs when they come up. Sorry for the extensive length of my replies. Thank you so much for the recommendation and please feel encouraged to leave another at any time.

Okay, Dreamy. This was a fun one for me to do. I started off not liking the song basically at all, but it has definitely grown on me. There's like a xylophone in the beginning that gets buried but resurfaces a few times; can't say I'm happy about that. But there are other sounds throughout that I really enjoy, what sounds like little hip hop samples, some funk Rick James esque synth, and the dramatic piano chords. It's all actually put together quite well ...

@playdollbae The bass line should have been much stronger, in my opinion. I like it's 80s electro funk/new jack swing/90s R&B sound, I do but it just doesn't groove hard enough for me. The drums are very generic and a total non factor for me in this song but that doesn't bother me. Now I think the reason I really disliked the song at first is because I am extremely biased in favor of their album, The Sign. The Sign is an absolute classic and one of the best selling debut albums of all time. ....

@playdollbae If you aren't familiar with the entire album, The Sign, it is an absolute must. Please go listen ASAP. While this song doesn't stand up to anything from The Sign, in my opinion, it's still not bad and really has grown on me quite a bit. Thank you so much for the recommendation.

@playdollbae Oh and I almost forgot, there is another version of this song called, Cruel Summer (Big Bonus Mix). It's more uptempo with some Latin inspiration thrown in. Completely different feel. You may want to check it out.

Okay. So I love the atmospheric feel, the strings throughout are really working in every instance. The drums are big yet a little muddy and droning but all in a good way that works for the overall feel. I'm hearing a little Radiohead, a little Bowie amongst other things. Not sure what to make of the lyrics really, I'd hate to give it much thought but they are good, very original. I think we could have benefited from at least some semblance of a chorus but really that's okay. I like the song.
