As I was cleaning my wound tonight, as I do three times a day, the past few days, according to nurse instructions, when I went to urgent care last Saturday, as I was sitting there pressing out the pus that was leaking out of the wound, this nail came out of my infected wound. I was surprised. First of all, it is pretty long and secondly, it does have rust on it and it is dirty. Not from coming out of my body, but it's permanently dirty on the nail itself. So I thank my creator tonight for antibiotics and a tetanus shot. I do pray that there will be no further complications and I'll have a full recovery.

Okay, so this might take me more than one reply to your question. Hey Salty, good to see you. Thanks for your comment. So on June 14 in the early morning hours, I was clearing some dryland off my dryer and something stuck me the first time, but I couldn't find the source. So I assumed whatever it was, it probably dropped on the ground and I didn't think anything of it.

So I didn't think anything of it at first. However after continuing to clear the dryer land off of the top of my dryer, something stuck me two more times and I was like, what the fuck? So I couldn't find the source at all and I didn't understand what was happening so I'm just like getting pricked over and over and I don't understand what the hell is happening. So I just cleared my hand, looked at my boo-boo. was no blood so I just moved on.

So I continued to clear the dryer off right and then something stuck me again and I was like okay there's definitely something on this dryer and I tried to find the source what I ended up finding was half of what I assumed at the time was half a sewing needle stuck between the crevice of the dryer right there was like a little part where something could get stuck and I threw that away.

So I threw that half of what I assumed at the time was a sewing needle in the trash. I didn't think I needed to keep it. I looked at the wound itself. There didn't appear to be any blood. I definitely saw like, I saw like a mark in my skin and I thought maybe it would turn into a blood blister. what I thought it would turn into because the wound didn't bleed.

So I all of this time thought that my body was trying to heal itself and you know I've done my best to keep the wound clean etc. But when it started to leak pus Friday afternoon last week I was like ooh this is not good. So the next day when I was able to, I went to urgent care and they deemed it infected.

At urgent care they did try to give me lidocaine. I got six cc's of that. My body did not respond to it on the wound site itself. My whole finger numbed but the wound site which I wonder if the nail had something to do with it. Maybe it was blocking something like I'm not exactly sure. I feel very fortunate because

I feel very fortunate because this nail tip is still very sharp and I'm grateful that it didn't, to my knowledge, cut me, cut an artery, you know. Essentially I feel like my creator was really looking out for me and I feel very fortunate.

I also thank my body. I feel like I'm giving an Emmy a word speech. I would like to thank my body for a strong immune system and for the opportunity that I had to have this nail come out of my body tonight. I would like to thank the antibodies, the inflammation, the fluid inside of me that kept the nail at bay.

In all reality, I am super grateful that this nail did not do heavy damage. I, my body seems to be responding to the antibiotics that I've been taking for the last few days, even so much that the wound itself, the inflammation appears to be reducing, which I'm super grateful for. I'm still leaking pus, but...

My wound is still leaking pus, however at the end of the day I do see a little difference, you know, in the right direction plus this nail came out of me. Shit! I'm like, did this nail go into my body the first time? It got, my skin got pricked. Second third time, the fourth time. Like I hope there's nothing else inside of my, of my wound. I hope this is it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute, Moon. How the hell did you have a nail inside you for two weeks? What the hell are you serious? What the hell?

No, it's just the late April Fool's joke. Yes, I'm serious. That really happened. I got the injury as I was cleaning off the lint from my dryer. Yeah, I explained it above with Salty. He asked this very similar question. You can check my response to him because I don't want to have to repeat it, you know what I mean? but yeah this is real and it really hurt.

Hello, Rye. Thank you so much for reaching out and asking if I am okay. Yes, I am okay. The wound is healing. And yeah, accidents happen. You know, I was clearing off the top of my dryer and, you know, one thing led to another. Dryer lint. And there happened to be a nail there. So it is what it is, you know, but I'm okay. Antibiotics and all.

Hey, Addy. Thank you for your comments. I hope my message response finds you well. So, it wasn't in my foot. This was in my finger. I didn't know it was there. You know, I had no idea. You know, when the injury happened, all I felt was a pinch, but I thought maybe like something got.

All I felt was a pinch when the injury happened and but I didn't see the nail. I guess it just had gone so far into my skin by that point that I didn't notice it was there. It explains why at initial injury that the wound it didn't bleed because I guess the nail may have been blocking it. But yeah, yep stuff happens. Sometimes we don't know that it's there until it presents itself right. I hope you're having a great day.

Hey, Addy, thank you so much for your comment. Thank you, I appreciate the well wishes and yeah, you know, I think it's just one of those injuries that, you know, people sometimes get in life and, you know, I'm just happy I'm okay. The antibiotics seem to have responded nice. Hopefully there's no further complications, there's no issues. Yes, I do hope you have a lovely day.
