Okay, what do you think about working overtime? And do you think working overtime is unhealthy? I think working overtime can get unhealthy because it can lead to burnout. But I think it depends. If people do it every now and then, it's fine. But if somebody has a lot of possibilities and they have to work overtime for a long period of time, it can definitely take a toll on people's mental health.
Soon the world will realize that stress, cortisol levels, lack of sleep, and overwork is what causes disease at its root. So yeah, sleep up baby cakes!
Yeah exactly, I just think it depends on how much overtime you do like continuously back to back and if you take rests or not in between. If you don't then yeah you're gonna burn out and it would not be good mentally.
I think it's situational depending on what type of job you do, how passionate you are about that job, how your company is treating you, all that factors in.
For sure. I used to work insane hours a couple years ago and it was so draining and I feel like you need to really separate yourself from work and personal life, so I definitely just after five o'clock out.
Yeah, I do think it is unhealthy, but like you said, if it's just every once in a while, then it's probably fine, but if it's frequent, then that's definitely not good for your health.
Of course that shit is unhealthy. Like working 40 hours a week, none of us are supposed to be doing that. And working past that, that's even worse. They already did a study that shows that you shorten your lifespan working so much.
